100 Singalong Songs For Kids

This is a great cd for kids. It has a mix of fun songs and songs about Jesus. My kids have loved them!

So many good songs, and well done. Great connection to history, as well as a cultural foundation. The kids love it.

These songs are wonderful, well sung by young kids and perfect for children or adults ha! We played them at my Granddaughter's 3-year old birthday party and they were delightful, happy and fun. I don't know why a couple of reviewers said the songs were too "religious" - they are not. If the song "Joshua fought the battle of Jericho" is too religious, that's sad for you.

This is an updated review. After having the disk for almost a year. I finally got them to work. Yes, there are three disc that comes in this set. The music is good and they have a lot of kids songs on the disc. They even have a few spiritual songs on the desk, my only complaint is there is a one or two songs from each disc that has a very racist background. But my toddler listens to these disc every morning on the way to school.

A great collection of songs sang by children. My grandson love the Cedarmont CDs. We sing and dance and have a fun time to these classics and several we hear in Sunday school. 100 songs for a very reasonable cost.

I bought this CD collection for my 2-yr-old. He loves to sing and we are extremely happy with these CDs. He likes CD 1 and CD 2 the best, as do I. One of the characteristics that sets this collection apart is that the songs are easy to sing along with and the words are included. The artists have not done anything weird or difficult with the tempo or tune. Some other CDs I listened to prior to buying this had jazzed things up or taken "artistic license" with the songs. This collection is very traditional and it feels like my son is singing along with his Sunday school class or the kids at school. They have remained true to the songs while making them interesting at the same time. For example, the ABC song goes through slow the first time and then fast the second. It is wonderful to hear a request for "lo, fast" from the back seat - I also hear "again" repeatedly. And with this collection I am happy to play it again; whereas other CDs have been almost painful to me as the adult. I highly recommend them.

As many other critical reviews (and positive ones) have pointed out, a great deal of the music on the CD is religious. I'm an atheist, but I'm the kind of atheist who loves Christmas carols and a large number of spiritual hymns (for instance, I love Amazing Grace and Swing Low, Sweet Chariot), but even I get tired of the constant 'hear the word of the Lord'-iness on display here. Also, there is a bit of monotony in the selection - on one of the CDs, you have the same tune for a couple of different songs. I know that this happens in children's songs (although you only really notice it once you have kids and think "Wait, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is the same tune as The Alphabet Song AND Baa Baa Black Sheep? Sheesh"), but when the songs are only a few tracks apart, you tend to notice it more. All that said, my daughter really enjoys this album. Every time we get in the car, she demands "kids songs" and has quickly caught on to a number of the tunes. Like a couple other reviewers, I get pretty tired of the music quickly, but it is fun to hear my daughter sing along to songs, and she seems to feel more confident singing when she hears other kid voices singing. I think I'll probably just rip the CDs and remove the songs I can't tolerate, then burn them again for car use.

I purchased this set, with the expectation that for under $8 bucks, that perhaps only 3 or 4 songs would be good. I was so so very wrong. This is the music, that is used in daycare,pre-school, and sunday school. It has all the classics, and the children's choir, is so "sugary" sweet, and charming, my toddlers,stand a listen- TOTALLY MESMERIZED. I mean in a trance, acting along, with the songs, and singing aloud. This is a welcome change, from our usual babysitters- Disney Junior and Sprout. All songs, are arranged in traditional format, and have their original "christian" messaging, As many Nursery rhymes were ( okay, some were wiccan too). However, the collection, here is done, with the understanding, that this is geared towards preserving the innocence in music. And that the family is okay, with a little bit of Jesus, thrown into the mix. Not at all heavy handed, just done with the traditional version. The collection is 3 CD's, and well over 3 hours of beautiful songs. Again, if you own a daycare center, this is a must have, or want to be able to leave the room, and have your children listen to music, without worry, that they will pick up some inappropriate language, then this is a must have collection. If I could give this 10 stars, I would. A great, little music collection, that keeps small children occupied.

Bevor ich als Au Pair nach England gegangen bin, habe ich mir diese CD geholt - in der Hoffnung, perfekt vorbereitet zu sein. Diese CDs haben genau das geschafft, da sie alle bekannten und beliebten englischen Kinderlieder enthalten und dazu noch eine Menge mehr. Viele Lieder thematisieren Gott, aber da England generell auch sehr gläubig ist und diese Lieder die Kinder nunmal prägen, ist die CD sehr authentisch und bietet einem wirklich einen guten Einblick in die Kinderlieder im englischsprachigen Raum. Ich werde die CD auch nach meinem Auslandsjahr noch nutzen, da ich als Grundschullehrerin unter anderem Englisch unterrichten werde und man diese Lieder auch super für den Englischunterricht einsetzen kann.

I bought this for a child. The child seems to really like it. It's good music music that my kids used to listen to when they were small.

my son loves listening to the music. lot of catchy tunes & bonua is having the lyrics included in the CDs. It helps us to sing along!
