Is the inner channel (with rubber thing) required when installing this with 7x9.6 Fizik oval carbon rails?

Totally new to this so don't laugh if it's a dumb question. But do you need a post that will accommodate a 1 bolt clamp or is that irrelevant?

What torque should be used for carbon rails...the clamp saids 12nm...wouldnt 12nm crack the rails? Thanks!

My answer will definitely be different than the others. At 12nM, the carbon rails of my saddle get a little warped and skews a little to the left, and I've more than a few bolts going to 12nM. I weight 240, and 10nM has been plenty to keep the saddle in place, and help protect my saddle rails a little more

No, this is the one for 7mm dia. alloy rails, not the tall, rectangular carbon ones like you have. Definitely don't use this one as it can damage the carbon rails.
