Klein Tools 11048 Dual Wire Stripper Cutter for Solid Wire, Made in USA

I’m a big fan of Klein Tools. While I’m not an electrician, I am an engineer and I tend to get myself dragged in to almost anything imaginable when it comes to motors, computers, electronics, machinery, and more. Recently, I undertook rewiring a friends 35 year old Quonset Hut. I needed a new pair of wire strippers (several of my specialty electrical hand tools have been borrowed and didn’t return) and I’ve used the Klein 11048 (yellow handled) strippers before. They work great! The strippers are made from high quality materials and like all Klein tools, are built to last. The stripping jaws are aligned to facilitate a one “snip” operation to remove insulation from solid conductors down to 10 gauge. They also cut. Klein tends thinj of everything, and this tool has holes that can be used to quickly bend wires for attachment to screw terminal switches and receptacles alike. They are easy to use, compact in size, and fit not only in my back pocket but also in my electrical tool belt. They even have a spring for self opening. Personally, I don’t think you can beat the Klein product if you do anything electrical. The price is fair and the value is great. I’ll keep buying Klein, right here on Amazon.

Can’t beat the double barrel 14 and 12. Makes stripping so much faster. Cutting is great for price and small size. Can cut full sheathed 10-2 with some effort just for comparison. Cuts 12 pretty good and 14 like butter. I buy a new pair every time I blow these out on live wires haha.

I am an electrician, and these are the best strippers you can have for working residential. These hold up to months of every day use and give a nice clean cut every time. I’ve tried other brands of strippers that can strip 2 x 14 awg and 2 x 12 awg at a time and I keep coming back to Kleins every time. I also like that it can strip 10 awg wire. Light weight and comfortable to use all day. It really helps speed up productivity when wiring or trimming houses. I keep multiple pairs in my van at all times. Great value!

You can tell this is quality from the first use. Clean, sharp cuts and the stripping notches are spot on. Comfortable grip and a great everyday wire stripper for solid wire jobs. I’ll be buying more Klein tools for sure.

On time and As advertised.

First pair, when locked the strippers weren’t fully closed like the blue handle pair does so I ordered a replacement and the second pair was identical so it must be a design change or I just got two lemons. I’m keeping one of the pairs because visually I can find nothing wrong with either pair besides the gap left fully locked. Under normal light, the handles don’t really charge that much, I can still see them in the dark but it’s not that bright. Feels like the grips are fatter then the blue handle set I have at work but I didn’t compare them side by side. So I see the glow in the dark handles a bit more of a gimmick over it’s superior functionality. I’m still keeping one pair though.

Works great, however in the product images there was markings for both AWG and mm2 but the one I received only had the AWG markings. Therefore 4stars.

Hard to find strippers, was happy I was able to find and order these strippers and arrivedvery quickly. Being able to strippers multiple wires the same size at one time saves time on the job. Being Klein you know that it is built with good quality materials and will last a long time. Comfortable and easy to use, light weight , and compact so doesn't take up much space or weight in the tool belt and easy on the wallet.
