Pixel 3 with 64GB Memory Cell Phone (Unlocked) - Clearly White

After agonizing for months about which phone to buy, I chose to upgrade from my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to a Pixel 3 toward the end of November 2019. I read and watched every possible review on the Pixel 3 and 4 and nearly went with a 4, but realized the Pixel 3 had everything I was looking for in a phone (and more) for a much better price than the 4. The following are a few things I prioritize in a phone and I hope hearing my experience will help you make your decision. 1. Obviously the camera is absolutely amazing. Pictures come out exactly how things look in real life, if not better. I've taken tons of photos since having this phone and love how pictures come out, even before editing them. 2. Battery life was a big concern of mine prior to buying the phone. Everything I read or saw online told me it was horrendous, but for me it works beautifully. I use my phone for the necessities and listen to music/podcasts for about an hour or two total throughout the day between YouTube, Pandora, and Spotify. I usually have about 10-20% left at the end of the night, and there are days I start at 5 AM. With that being said, I've realized battery life is extremely subjective based on how often you use your phone. For me, a non-heavy user, this phone works perfectly. 3. Processing speed is actually quite nice on this phone. Sure it doesn't have a 90 Hz display but how much does that affect my quality of life? Absolutely none. In fact, my quality of life is probably better not having it because it doesn't drain my battery. This is a pretty fast phone despite what people said about it "only" having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. I never find it lagging even with multiple apps open, although I don't play any games on my phone. It's very fast for the average user in my opinion. 4. Screen brightness has not been an issue at all for me. Many reviews told me the screen doesn't get bright enough, but it's pretty amazing and sometimes even too bright. The reviews I read typically showed the Pixel 3 side by side with another, brighter phone.. but how often do I use two phones simultaneously side by side? Never. So those comparisons are for comparison sake only and in real world use, the Pixel 3 has a beautiful display that is plenty bright. 5. Other things that made me go with this over other phones on the market at the time (iPhone 11 Pro, Pixel 4, Samsung Galaxy S10 or Note 10, OnePlus 7 Pro) were the fingerprint scanner on the back, the ability to save over 2 years (through January 2022) worth of original quality photos onto Google photos for free, the ability to seamlessly use Google software on my phone (drive, photos, Chrome, etc.), the customizability (from home screen to developer options), strong haptic feedback, and definitely price (got this for around $450 new). Since having it, I absolutely love it and don't see myself switching from Pixel to another brand for my next phone.. but that's hopefully several years from now so we'll see what happens. For now and for the next several years, I'm going to enjoy my Pixel 3 and all it has to offer.

I have no need for the latest and greatest phone. When I do upgrade, I usually go for a flagship device a generation or two behind once they are reasonably affordable. I couldn't resist the great price for a new, unlocked Pixel 3 in Not Pink, not realizing I was wading into a unique technical issue between the Pixel 3 series and Sprint. Tl;dr: be aware you are likely to encounter problems activating this device if you use Sprint or another Sprint-based carrier, and let me be clear it's not the device's (or the seller's) fault. It will be stupidly inconvenient (particularly if you are using a Sprint-reselling carrier and are not an actual Sprint customer) to get this device activated as Sprint probably won't have the MEID on file and will fight you with a million excuses when you ask to have it added to their database. Long version: This model of Pixel 3 is quite apparently the only one out of the whole 3 series that will activate on Sprint at all, albeit with complications. I was blissfully unaware of this carrier weirdness until I received my device, which arrived sealed and in perfect condition, went through the prompts to transfer my data, installed my SIM card and excitedly tried to activate it. I kept getting errors while doing online self-activation, and even the agent with my carrier (a small pay-as-you-go provider on the Sprint network) couldn't activate it remotely. He suggested that I contact Sprint directly, as the MEID did not seem to be eligible for activation. I called both Sprint and Verizon, both CDMA carriers, to see what information I could get about my device. Verizon: no MEID problem at all. If I were a customer they would have activated it on the spot. Might I mention, extremely polite, friendly and helpful. In contrast, phone calls to Sprint were rage-inducing. The MEID for my device was not found in Sprint's database as if the phone never existed, but they didn't want to help me add it since I'm technically not a Sprint customer even though my carrier licenses the use of their network. I cannot avoid the indirect relationship I have with Sprint, and the missing MEID was 100% their fault. All they had to do was start a support ticket to add the MEID to their database so I could activate my device after a waiting period, and they just wouldn't do it. Without a Sprint account, several tech support agents refused to help me with adding the MEID, despite my research showing the activation problem (and simple solution) Sprint has with Pixel 3 phones is clearly a known issue with a step-by-step resolution on Sprint's own tech support forum. I was stupified by their lack of action. After hitting a wall with Sprint's rude, unhelpful offshore telephone agents, I finally took the device to a physical Sprint store where at last I found someone helpful who made some phone calls of his own. People on the other side of the phone still insisted they would not help me without a Sprint account, and just when it was looking like I was going to have to wipe this device of my freshly transferred data and send it back, he typed in the MEID one more time just to be sure. And there it was: my MEID was magically eligible for activation! So someone, somewhere, somehow did something despite their repeated refusals. Thereafter, I went home and effortlessly activated my device on my carrier with no further issues, as it should have happened in the first place. The phone has been great ever since. I feel sorry for anyone stuck with Sprint, directly or indirectly, who likes this phone, but I am proof that it can be done.

This phone is an AMAZING upgrade from my years of using BLU phones. I'm starting a little side business and needed a phone that could take high quality pictures without me having to invest heavily in camera equipment and this completely fit the bill! I couldn't have asked for anything better and I love the fact that I was able to move just about everything from my old phone to this one in not time at all! The only draw backs are shorter battery life and privacy proding. On my old BLU phone, I could get away with not having to charge for two whole days but this Pixel 3 (with moderate use during a whole work day) tends to burn out right around late evening. As far as privacy goes, you can keep most of your things to yourself but, pop ups from multiple Google based apps asking for permission/access over and over again when you want to use something gets annoying over time. Otherwise, it's not overly intrusive. It's Google, what do you expect? At least they are kind enough to include the adapters for the headphone jack and USB connection because otherwise, I would have gone for the Pixel 3a. Overall, can't wait for the Pixel 4 and see how improves!

I don't know about all the bad reviews, but when mine was delivered it was in perfect condition. I WILL STATE THAT... When you power on phone and set it up and connect to wifi. It has A LOT of software updates that take FOREVER! When I say forever I mean like my phone came around noon and it stayed updating til like 6 or 7 that evening (1st phone I've ever had do that). I WILL ALSO STATE that if you're with Sprint your gonna have problems activating it, however if you talk or chat with customer support on Sprint website it'll save you time trying to do it yourself. They'll get it activated for you, because it is compatible with Sprint. Other than those two little pains I love this phone. Battery life isn't as bad as reviews were saying, and it actually charges pretty fast. This phones speakers are the loudest ones I've had on any phone. Sounds really good to me. The fact that this phone has a nice OLED display, NFC, wireless charging, Google's really good cameras, IPX8 certified and will still get updated to Android 12 soon made this well worth it. Not to mention this phone is pretty strong. I dropped it from about shoulder height by accident on a tile floor, not one crack, chip, or dent. Also would like to throw in there this phone has a really cool feature where it identifies and saves a list of any music you're by through the out your day, it says the data from this feature never leaves yourh device and I guess works offline. ONLY COMPLAINTS I HAVE ARE THAT THERES NO MICRO SD CARD SLOT, OR HEADPHONE JACK. IM COMING FROM 64GB IPHONE SO ITS NOT SUCH A BIG DEAL. All in all, I am VERY Happy

Ok, Google, you failed me BIG time. I was a faithful android user for years, I had almost all of the Google phones there were. Although they all had some minor glitches, nothing too big to stop me from enjoying my google phone. I purchased this particular phone with the consideration that Google equals quality. I could always rely on my google phone and be sure it won't fail me. This had been my statement for many years, I even managed to convince several determined apple product users to give Google a chance. However this particular phone is the WORST I ever had. To say that I over-payed to be extremely dissatisfied is to horribly underestimate. I wish I have returned this piece of horror while I still could. 1) Day 1 it arrived it started having bluetooth connectivity issues. The sound will cut off/disappear and then come back. Not the connection issue, definitely the phone's bug. Problem was solved by reloading the phone. This problem arises almost every day and I have to reload the phone often 2) Day 2 - phone shut off due to overheating. 3) after about a couple weeks of having the phone I started having proximity sensor issues. When my hand will be close to the top of the page, the screen would just go black. Guess how this was solved? Yes - just reload. Kind of reminds me of Windows :)))) 4) Unlimited storage in the cloud has something going wrong, because my cloud always reminds me that I have a tiny amount of space left and need to do something about it. However I was hoping that all of the issues would be resolved with the new version of Android. Guess what? After a new Android version was released a couple of days ago and I installed it, things got WORSE! A new bug in addition to unresolved previous ones is introduced - the hotspot could not turn on! I can not believe it. My Google product is getting worse and worse. I literally feel like throwing this thing into the garbage. Here you go reliability, quality etc. Although being Android faithful for years, I am seriously considering to go all the way Apple. What is going on with you, Google? UPDATE: I contacted Google and obviously overheating is one of the major issues with this phone, because they have a special team dedicated to this! These ridiculous instructions were handled to me by Google regarding overheating. These basically mean: don't use GPS, wi-fi, 4G, daydream view, any apps the phone did not come with, do not adjust display brightness, turn off your device frequently so it can cool down. don't use anything normally and comfortably on this phone, limit everything and turn off everything. If the phone can not do the simple things, why would I even use it? And mind you, why do you talk about the watch in "Android wear section", could you have at least edited the copy-paste you have sent to me? I did not contact you because of the watch! QUOTE FROM GOOGLE: "If your device sometimes feels warmer than normal, there usually isn't cause for concern. Letting the device ‘take a break’ from use or limiting/turning off features (even those running in the background) could remedy the situation. Here are some tips/suggestions: Media apps (music, video games): Close or turn off other apps and features that you're not using; they may be running in the background. Chargers: Don't use unofficial chargers which can overcharge and degrade the battery. Use official charger (available on Google Store in some countries). Daydream View: Daydream View requires high performance from the device. The device's temperature should stay within safe limits. Remove any protective cases from the device to improve thermal ventilation. If your device feels too hot, stop using Daydream View and allow the device to cool down. Android Wear: Power off the device for 5-10 minutes and turn it on again. Try using the watch for another day to see if your issue improves. If your watch is still warm after a day, reply to this email and let us know. Please trye below steps if the issue is not fixed. Steps : Reset your device to factory settings. If the issue is still not resolved or if you can't enable safe mode, resetting the device to factory settings may help. This will erase all local data on your device, so I'd recommend backing up your personal pictures, music and video files."

BOUGHT this in May 2020! Almost May, 2022 UPDATE YES! I am STILL using this phone and am still very happy with it. Main issues STILL are crappy 101 Google app updates...DO NOT auto update it; read up, the maximum volume could be better; and I burnt the screen in on the home page, my bad. Battery hanging on; buy a good quality, fast charging cable. I bought it HERE as an open box from the warehouse and would do that again. Is now selling for MORE than I paid for it. Dropped many, many times. A decent bumper case does the job. FANTASTIC camera with no camera or Google Photos app update. 17 Mo. UPDATE: This phone is still performing WELL and I keep looking for an upcoming replacement when Google pulls the plug on it. HOWEVER, it appears that I probably have 1 OS update left on it. I am getting about 8 hours out of the original battery...less if I stream radio or video. NEW development this month: the icons on the home page are now burnt into the screen. This is annoying to me. It overheats in very hot sun, and if I stream music for an hour. I have done some comparisons and THOUGHT that I had decided to replace this with a Pixel 5 when the time comes. But every comparison I do with a 4 or a 5 says this is better! I definitely got my money's worth out of this phone as it is still selling for what I paid for it here! > Open box buy on Amazon Warehouse. Warning: JUST keep auto updates turned off and carefully read the reviews for any Google provided Android app parts and pieces. They usually hurt it rather than help it. This phone runs JUST FINE without a whole list of GoogleCRAP, including turning many of them off. Do not believe those screens that say "may not work" without them. 15 Mo. UPDATE to my reviews below is right here HERE: The battery no longer lasts the day, but it is not awful. The phone overheated the other day when I left it in the sun in the car and shut off. I have dropped this over and over with no damage with just a decent bumper style case. I am still fighting with GOOGLE and their half baked roll outs of bits and pieces of their software-- Do not let this phone auto update. I HAVE figured out which ones not to update and I have ended up with a stable phone. ItDOES appear that sometimes Pixel 3s are oddballs and app designers and even Google have to roll out an update of something just for this phone. Read reviews in the Play Store. I do have to clear the caches of my apps every once in a while, but I think I would blame that on the apps. The camera is still FANTASTIC and the Google camera app is way better than it was when I bought the phone. . I also own a much newer cheaper Motorola (Moto E) phone (backup phone carrier) in addition to this one. The speaker volume is louder than the Pixel. The flashlight is brighter than the Pixel. Everything else-- no comparison. . ALL in ALL I am still liking this phone and it appears to be holding up. When it comes time, I will probably update this phone by buying some version of the Pixel 4. However, when I read the specs on all of the other Pixels, this one still wins for me. I WOULD BUY THIS AGAIN. I am going to see how long I can keep it going. I have used this phone with TWO cell networks (Verizon + TMo) and had no issues. . The call quality is much better when this is not on speaker phone. I uses several Open Source apps on this phone and they work fine (RadioDroid, AnySoftKeyboard, Simple Notes, Simple Calendar). . **************************************** OLDER Reviews: I was pretty convinced of the quality and security of my iPhone and used it long past the payoff date. But Apple's bad battery, broken home button and repeated half-baked iOS releases convinced me to give this phone a try. . It's not the latest and greatest, but appears to be very good quality for what I paid for it. I am getting used to the pages and pages of settings, and having to clear the cache, as it has been several years since I had an Android. . I bought this from the Amazon Warehouse store and the phone appeared unused. Yeah, as some reviews state, battery life could be a tad better. . 10 Month UPDATE! I am still using this phone and would give it a 9 out of 10 for how much I like it. I am not a phone geek. But I do not like low end phones. I frequently use this phone for taking Ebay and Etsy photographs. I am running it on an MNVO of Verizon. I have dropped it several times with a middle of the road bumper case and no screen protector...not a scratch. Google Play Store STILL fools around with updating a LONG LIST of pieces of software for this phone at the drop of the hat. Often, their ideas are half baked. I have come to a happy medium with this by loading some Open Source apps for certain things. I WILL say that the Google PHOTO app, which was an Android 10 disaster has gotten better and better. And the Google FILES app now allows me to clean up and remove junk without paying for something else. I recently bought a Moto E phone as a backup..and compared to this Pixel, it's a piece of crap. My next phone will probably be a Pixel 4 or 4a, as I am that happy with this. . 6 MONTH UPDATE 12.20.20 OK - So I STILL like the HARDWARE of this phone. It works well. The buttons work well. I bought an C adapter and my plug in ear buds work well. I have dropped it several times without a super monstrous case over it and it has not succumbed to damage. The battery life is not great, but still about a day unless I play streaming radio all day. . BUT....Google's constant meddling and redesigning of the Android software parts is still driving me crazy. It is not just ONE system update like an iPhone. This has maybe 20 little apps that can be updated independently of each other. Often the update sucks and I have to uninstall it. Often the settings for these pieces contradict each other. Google appears to totally redesign EVERYTHING all of the time, just for the heck of it. . When I gave a poor rating to the keyboard in the Play Store, Google's response (internal notes, accidentally posted publicly) was that I was extremeley negative, brand aversive and should just be IGNORED! Nice! So will I stick with Android for a while, probably. But my next Android will not be made by Google. Hopefully by then, their monopoly will be broken anyway. . UPDATE 10.15.20 STILL like this phone but hate Google and their hair-brained update schemes, still consisting of 20 different "parts". Totally lost respect, even though some features are very convenient. They keep "playing" with stuff. On a bright note, I have flat out droppped this phone on its unprotected face and....nuthin! . UPDATE 6.24.20 I still like this phone A LOT. But Android 10 appears to be a work in progress in regard to photo handling. This is a shame because of the FANTASTIC camera on this phone. I am hoping that Android 11 solves some of this. However, every time there is an update, it is an improvement. . UPDATE 7.1.20 I STILL like this phone! There have been some Android and Google app updates, which have been improvements. Google keeps trying to take over my life and privacy, so I turn quite a few settings off. I still had to load an album and a photo cropping app to do some things I could do on iOS in WAY less clicks. Android is loaded with over-functionality. The battery life is tolerable; about all day with frequent use. . UPDATE 7.31.20 and 8.16.20 Well, I STILL like this phone very much. It's GOOGLE I hate. Every little function of this phone is a separate and constantly updated app by Google. Most updates seems to improve or add a function, while breaking something that you need to WORK. Sometimes an update breaks something on a aftermarket app, and the developer will blame my phone model. Some of these apps appear to be just Google spying. . What I hate: NO square photos, more clicks to edit photos, constant cashe clearing, anything Google has privacy settings that I have to CHANGE, because they are invasive. . What I like: Low light camera feature is fantastic; phone does not lag; phone has never frozen on me; contextual menus available everywhere, very convenient. (I would recommend keeping an eye on cache usage of your apps. Almost any squirrely behavior I have experienced was a badly performing app, not the phone. I am a former iPhone SE user (2 of them) and was worried about the size of this phone. If you are a SMALL person who needs a SMALL phone, this one fits the bill. Can be used one-handed.

My Samsung Galaxy S8 Active decided to randomly lose all signal (even after reset) which also killed any kind of battery life. I was overall pretty happy with the S8, but I kept hearing how great the Pixel camera is and I love photography as well. I've stuck with Samsung through most of the Galaxy active line, but they killed it off after the S8 so I decided to change it up finally. Also not ready to drop a lot of money with everything going on right now so I picked this up as an Amazon Warehouse deal. Phone came in original packaging and as far as I can tell it's pristine and battery is 98% life left which was a steal. Performance, it's new so hard to compare, but everything is buttery smooth for now. Battery life lasts me a full day so far, but I'm not a heavy user. Just some messaging, pictures, web-browsing, etc. The camera though is leaps and bounds ahead of where I was before. The S8 took great pictures with the disclaimer for a phone, but the pixel is on the same level as my $500 cannon camera. Beyond that I can't even begin to describe how well the night mode works, I know people praised it, but it's so different when you have it in hand. The speakers are good, features are solid, accessories I liked that they threw in a USB-C headset as well as a USB-C to 3.5mm jack. Fingerprint reader works as good as my S8 did and it can double to swipe your notifications down. The haptic feedback is leaps and bounds better than my S8, but that could also come from age. I'd say my only regret is that I should have gone with the XL. The S8 was 5.80 inch screen and a meaty phone in the hand which I'm used to, though the Pixel 3 is 5.5 inches and much slimmer/streamlined feel. I know I'll get used to the size difference and I hope to get the Pixel 5/5XL when it comes out so all in all I'd say still think about getting this for the right price.

I bought this from Abe's Electronics (note that this product has several sellers, which may or may not be the source of the varying reviews about "Verizon Locked, etc", so I thought it was important to call out). I bought it as a hot backup for my previous Pixel 3, which worked well until my friend cursed me by saying "you should get case", and after having it since the Pixel 3 first came out, and dropping it a few times, immediately after he said that, it promptly fell out of my locker, dropped, and cracked around the camera. I got a case, but since then the power button would get techy (keep triggering, until I pulled the button insert off the case, and started squeezing harder), and pictures were sometimes fuzzy. So I've been pretty happy with previous Pixel 3, but I little worried about the damage. As far as the one I got from Abe's via Amazon, the packaging (including accessories) was exactly the same as what I received when I ordered one from Google directly. The bootloader does come locked, but i dropped into the boot screen from the one got from Google, and it was also bootloader locked. It won't lock you to a particular carrier, you should be able to use this with Fi, T-Mobile, etc. And while I haven't fully transitioned to Google Fi on the new phone (still using my old one as long as possible) - the service is available on the phone, and I walked through most of the setup process (copying from my old phone), and just didn't click through the final "activate" step. The SKU on the box, and the software indicates this is North American model. It came clean, no indications of being repackaged, software was fresh & walked me through the same setup instructions as my first direct-from-Google purchase. Was a little nervous about getting a phone off a 3rd party seller on Amazon, but so far, it's been great!

I use it for my personal phone it works very well and I'm satisficed.

Great phone but battery life could be better. Overall good so far with 3 weeks of use.

False advertisement. I think this is not unlocked Canadian phone, this is activated Verizon version of the phone. There's a Verizon Sim inside. It asks for activation. Upon inserting other Sim it says "thanks for activating with verizon" .
