Is this good for new dreads?

I think it will, I bought it for my husband, he already has dreads, when I fix his dreads, few days after he washes his dreads with the shampoo and it works well

I have dry loc's and I need a shampoo that will leave my hair soft and moisturized. Will this shampoo do that for me?

Use a little coconut oil on your dreadlocks once in awhile to moisturize them. You don't want moisturizers in the shampoo...no bueno. But I would recommend this dread shampoo simply for the fact that it's FOR dreadlocks ,meaning that it's sulfate free and won't leave residue in your locs that could cause buildup or mold/mildew. I'll be purchasing this product for myself.
