Great replacement part for mark5 2.5 l engine on my 2008 rabbit
this was the proper PCV for my mark5 2.5 l VW Rabbit 2008. the valve is located under the engine cover. you have to take off air in take and clamped air in take hose to MFC and air intake sensor. then liftvup cover. you can match by looks on top of engine housing. After replacing i could see original membrane was ripped. it was time to replace (overdue). this should be replaced every 4 oil changes roughly. not doing it will be a big pro6for engine performance and life.

buy the whole thing
this worked for me , but if i was going to do it again i would buy the whole oil separator unit. 2 Allen bolts instead of fighting with this part inside warped plastic. quality is fine, mine worked after an extreme amount of aggravation. just buy the whole unit.

Didnโt fit
I have a 2013 2.5l VW Beetle. It says it will fit and has the same part number; however the plastic peace doesnโt line up with the same clip locations. I sure am lucky the old one came off in one piece since the new one wouldnโt clip on.

Seems to be working well.
Installed this on my 2009 VW Beetle. Took a while to get old one off trying not to crack it just in case this didn't fit. Oh well it cracked. Read a review later for a different brand and the guy suggested a paint can opener to remove it. I can see that working well . Other than that just clean and snap on the new one. Make sure it snaps in place on all clips. It takes some even pressure to do this. Just remember your dealing with plastic and things can break. Don't beat on it. Some good installation videos on youtube.

Useless
First off, the cap doesn't snap on as others have mentioned. Not a big deal as I've used the original one. But why would you keep selling a product that's known to not fit, but claim it fits fine. No it doesn't! Next, it didn't make a difference for me. No improvement. Ended up swapping whole PCV valve assembly. Had to swap out other parts as well, obviously. It's a Volkswagen, what do you expect?! Just replace the whole PCV Valve assembly. They're not as expensive online. You'll thank me later.

Fixed problem on 2017 Tiguan 4Motion 2L TSI
I repaired my 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan Wolfsburg Edition oil separator PCV valve using this product. The diaphragm is identical to the original OEM, but not the cover and spring. I found the spring they provided was less stiff, so I used my original spring instead. You need to be patient when removing the cover by prying the 8 snap on tabs one by one โฆ be careful not to damage this. I have done 3000 kms already with the part and everything is working well. I noticed that the suction is restored within the oil system ( lift oil cap slowly or the dip stick). Everytime I go for gas I check for this to ensure suction inwards. I was running with a bad diaphragm for a year, noticed oil stains around my gasket getting worse over time. Never got a warning code, but my oil consumption was high and the direction of air pressure was not per system requirements. When your engine runs at idle it must have suction towards the engine inside. Lots of YouTube videos on how this works and things to check for. Do not buy the Doorman version itโs not at all the same quality diaphragm. This one is same or very similar to OEM, and I recommend using the original VW cap and spring; easy switch. Hope this helps. I purchased a second one as a spare, because the price is of good value and the potential damage to engine if not replaced could be disastrous. Keep an eye on this and enjoy years of good performance. I also recommend changing oil with synthetic every 5000 kms , especially in Canada, and perform a yearly engine flush with EPR ( fall before winter) to unstick the piston rings. Enjoy years of VW Turbo TSI fun !!!
