DEE ZEE DZ 70 DZ70 Brite-Tread Aluminum Topsider Tool Box

I purchased this to use as a top mount box on a service truck, and it works great! I like that you can lock it to keep things safe also.

purchased 2 of these for my work truck as rail boxes,they dont come with any mounting hardware so you have to get inventive on how to mount them to be solid,i actually made legs out of 2 old bed rails,secured them to the corner of the boxes and to the floor of the bed,they are very well made and solid

The box as a whole is well made. The little cam lock provided is cheap and should be replaced with a quality lock cylinder. This can be done easily for a couple bucks and 15 minutes. My biggest issue here is the packaging. It arrived in a cardboard box that didn't appear to suffer much abuse enroute. Inside there were three styrofoam blocks just stacked on top the unit almost if this was an afterthought. The mounting hardware was loose inside the tool box left to move around freely. The heavy steel braces had tumbled around enough to put some serious unsightly dents in the sidewalls. I suggest to purchase locally where the toolbox can be inspected for damage prior to buying. I also recommend to the manufacturer to secure the hardware or at least the steel braces to prevent damage to an otherwise fine product. Instructions provided had nothing to do with this model box.

I ordered this item twice and both times I had to ship it back as it came dented and banged up.

We ordered two of these and they are right size for what we need. Quality of welds / corners could be improved. We tried to order two more but got an email that one of the items didn't pass quality control and the set is now another $100.00

Nice box but the riveting on the door hinge off. Functional but door sages to one side and looks bad.

Was looking for a box to go on top of the rails of my truck bed. This one worked perfectly. Very easy to install. There are permanent things in the bed of my truck that couldn't be moved and got in the way of the mounting brackets, but I was able to position them differently and all is well. I see no faults so far.
