Not subject to charge level memory! The NiCad originals, if you charged them when they were half discharged they would only retain half the charge saved forever. Very strong current feed to the B&D machines I don't want to part with. Now I defiantly won't have to. I may buy a couple more.

I kept the shipping box until I tested the fit on my ancient B&D chainsaw. The original battery was shot, had very short run-time when fully charged. Both these batteries fit perfectly in the original charger (one was already fully charged), but very tight fit in the tool. I'm guessing that, over time, they'll slide in easier. Threw the box away. Haven't tested run time yet, but I doubt it's worse than the original (given the Ahr claimed upgrade by mfr). 5 stars if the Ahr upgrade makes a noticeable difference.

While looking for replacement batteries for our Black and Decker yard tools (first ones using batteries), we were shocked to learn the short lifespan. Somehow, our original battery lasted 6yrs, which we now know is not the norm. This battery charged fast and lasted at least 1hr between the hedge clippers and weed whacker. We have a large yard (of the 3 acres, we mow/groom 3/4 of an acre), lots of beds/bushes/ornamental trees. Plus we butt up to woods and wetlands...lots of maintenance overall! It is a tight fit to get it in, but well worth the money. It is stronger than the original that came with the tools. We can't rate longevity, as we just got them, but for the other categories a definite 5 stars!

These Nicads appear to be better than the original. I’ll update this if they perform poorly in dix months.

Fit in my 14 year old weed whacker. Hold a charge for a vast amount of weeds.

Very happy with the ability to secure batteries for an older technology B&D cordless drill, getting two batteries for a good price very attractive.

Charged both batteries Started with leaf blower, good for the first 3 minutes cleaning my 10x10 deck, Switch to my circular saw, struggling to cut through a 2x4. Switch to fresh battery, still struggling to cut through 2x4. Back to leaf blower, each battery lasted maybe 10 minutes. Old batteries when new and fully charged would run the leaf blower 30 to 40 minutes. Batteries fit both items very well
