I bought the MSW 1#, crock pot, multiple jars to clean the chains, ultrasonic cleaner, I use simple green/industrials to strip the OEM lubricants, I do this twice, 20 minutes, heated on the ultrasonic cleaner, twice in mineral spirits and twice in pure grain alcohol. I use a compressor to make sure all the cleaners are blown free - I still air dry for a few hours. I move the super clean chain around in the liquid wax for about 10 minutes (chain is same temp as the wax). I use the wire hanger/see MSW site. I let it drip dry/cool - the wax is stiff when cooled. I run the chains for about 400-500 miles and swap to a new wax chain. once 850-1150 miles are on each chain they are discarded. I use the KMC 10/11XL chains. When they are due for a rewax, I heat them up in the ultrasonic and repeat the cleaning process. Keeps my drivetrain super clean, no black greasy crap, no dirt buildup - my drivetrain always looks new and it's super clean. This process works best when doing multiple chains at once. I was looking for something that would stand up to all the dirt and dust of gravel riding without needing to be cleaned after every ride. This stuff works great! MSW has a really great set of instructions on how to clean and prepare the chain. Once you go thru it the first time, it's really quite simple.
