I use this mucana supplement for sleep mainly. Mucana releases dopamine to help with sleep, and it can also stimulate the pituitary gland to produce more human growth hormone. Most of our growth hormone is released during sleep, and taking mucuna before bed, can increase growth hormone naturally. Mucuna also contains small amounts of other neurotransmitters such as serotonin and tryptophan which are mood-enhancing and natural antidepressants. This has been very helpful for my sleep and will provide vivid dreams also. Good high quality mucana supplement.

My mother has been taking this for roughly 5 months now. I read an article about a man who helped reverse alot of the damage his mother's brain had endured resulting in dementia. I am hopeful that this will work - she's very alert and spry - almost too spry LOL - but she's fighting the Mediterranean diet every single day and it's crucial to the regime so Mucuna may only do so much without the components of the diet. We'll keep plugging away tho! I increased her dose from 2 a day to 4 a day recently. We'll see.

As a 64 year old male, I have been researching the natural hormone (testosterone) generation process, which leads to the Hypothalamus. I stumbled across the wikipedia site which related the Hypothalamus to endocrine and testosterone generation. Then I learned of L-Dopa has strong effects on some people ( [...] ) I found The Weyland L-Dopa on Amazon and now take 2 capsules before bed, (various articles say our testosterone is generated mostly during sleep) which consistently lead to exceptionally strong morning erectile results, and cure for me for occasional anorgasmia (failure to achieve orgasm), that are greater than any other natural supplement I have tried... bar none. I believe that the L-Dopa is helping to generate signals from the Hypothalamus to lead to Testosterone generation. I detect no side effects... each user must judge such things for themselves.

I purchased this product as an adjunct to dopamine however if you look up mucuna you will find other "uses" such as the "velvet glove". For me I did not feel either impact. It may work for others but didn't for me.

I’ve taken this supplement for a week and haven’t noticed any difference. I did some reading on the plant and vitamins recommending to take the supplements for two weeks and then off for a week. So I’ll take another week and see how I feel. Overall, the capsules are medium sized and don’t have any flavor. I take them first thing in the morning as is recommend on the bottle. This is probably a great product, so why did I give it one star? After receiving the bottle, I felt inspired to check Dr. Google once again for side effects and discovered that anyone who has glaucoma should NOT take Mucuna. As I just had cataract and glaucoma surgery last month, I nearly threw this bottle across the room! There is no warning on the bottle about this. As always, buyer beware.

I am a satisfied repeat customer of this company. This is the fourth product I've purchased from the Weyland line and while I've purchased l-dopa from other companies, this one is by far the best. I have a medical condition that causes me to have low dopamine; the symptoms mimic ADD. I took two capsules plus one of their Energy pills and had a successful day at work. I told my co-worker/friend that I felt as good as the first day I took Adderall. I even returned the library book that's been in my car a week! I also immediately stopped for gas when I saw it was low instead of procrastinating until the light came on. It's definitely not a placebo effect as I'm very familiar with this supplement. I highly recommend it.
