GUNK EBGEL-12PK 'Engine Brite' Engine Degreaser Gel - 15 oz., (Case of 12)

Good product for what it was used for. Cleaned transmission and motor out of pickup. Make sure you have good ventilation. Did this outside with canopy and old sheets hung on three sides. Used power washer to clean junk off. Had to take down sheets. Smell is very potent!!!

I followed the instructions use a small parts brush to work some of the areas in and the engine came out looking fantastic. I did watch a YouTube video for more confidence and using this product.

The gel adheres well will it's doing its degreasing work. You may need to use several applications. Get a brass scrub brush to help penetrate caked on grease and grime. Not for use on brake discs which needs to wash and evaporate manufacturers anti corrosion coating. After the gunk does it's job, use a pressure washer to finish up your job.

Used for cleaning power steering oil leak greesed around motor. Loosens up greese quick with light brushing, but wont cut burned on grime off. Any angle spray would be nice for tight spots.

Love this stuff. I cleaned off 12 and 15 years of grease/grime off my cars. Removed burnt on oil and transmission fluid from leaks. Now I can actually see the new stuff around seals to know what to fix. Caught a couple areas that are cracking. Very impressed with how easy it was. Do: use a nylon brush, disconnect battery, let sit for a couple minutes longer than they say. Repeat as necessary

It does work in helping to clean the engine bay. You have to scrub a lot though to help remove the grease, dirt, and gunk. It does spay everywhere even in places you don't want like windshield and front fenders. You can cover these areas or immediately use a wet cloth to remove it. I was meticulously careful, but it still gets everywhere due to the splashes. The worst part is even after you rinse and dry your engine bay, the car WILL Smell like gasoline from the ingredients in this item. The smell is strong. The inside of your car will smell for a while. I kept spraying scented spay for a week until it was tolerable. Your clothes you use will also smell. I was cleaning my engine bay in the driveway and a family member came from inside the house wondering what that crazy smell was. It's cray cray how they make stuff like this. Won't buy again. Will try other methods. It did help clean the engine bay with some decent scrubbing required. Just left a strong lingering gasoline (flammable) smell for over a week.
