Great knife sheath. I got a new and pricey chef knife as a gift an it came without a sheath. This fit the bill. I love that it’s so lightweight and has a little peg to ensure it stays on. Good value as well.

I have an 8” Shun classic western chef’s knife. Product # DM0766 It is too long for the sheath. It says universal fit but it’s not. Beautiful sheath, much nicer than picture so that’s why I’m giving 4 stars.

Really Excellent quality and a great fit for the knife!

String broke and pin was lost after a few months. Buy something else instead.

There is a bit of slack but that seems ok. The little pin keeps the knife from slipping. The knife is plenty sharp, so it is a good idea to protect it, as well as anyone who might accidentally cut themselves while accessing the cutlery drawer.

Careful with the word, Universal I have your 8 inch shun knife. And it obviously did not fit beautiful product love the knife, the sheath not so much.

Has a little peg which clicks in nicely to prevent the knife coming out by itself. Throw out the red string that comes with it, that doesn't do anything except get in the way. It's worth getting this sheath if you have a Shun knife, they're a bit bigger than most chef knives and don't fit in most sheaths, but this actually is a nice sheath so you won't regret it.

Good but I don't know that its worth the price. I think your paying for the shun name. I like that it has a pin to secure the knife that snaps in nicely. I think I'll buy the cheaper one here and see how it compares. Fits my 8 in classic well enough.

Great addition to my kitchen, keeps my Shun nice and safe.
