cast iron that doesn't work on induction?

The reason they say it doesn't work on induction is that as soon as you lift the pan from the induction, the inductor shuts off and begins to cool, and you need a constant, steady, ready-to-go heat to cook the waffles. Yes you can do it with induction, but it may take longer, and the waffle may not be as crispy, or may even stick a little as a result.

What are the complete dimensions? (width, height, length not including the handle) thanks!

The diameter is 7 3/4" round. The waffle size is 7" round. (there is a drip rim around the edge.) The height of both together when closed is 1 3/8".

Could you make a made in the usa version of this just like the old days? willing to pay $100-$150 for one.
