Acme Dog Whistle 210.5 - Orange

I have one of these whistles already and use it daily with my 11 month old cocker x collie x staffy x patterdale (one bundle of trouble!). I got it free at a Bamf film festival. She responds very well to it over a good distance and fair amount of noise (wind). I trained her with it from 10 weeks old, she just came to me when called (easiest recall training ever!) I'm sure more to do with her breeding than the whistle itself, that said I've used a few different types and this seems most consistent with her. She does go selectively deaf sometimes if she's gone after a deer or rabit, but she reappears after the three toot "you're in trouble" call! The thing I like is that you can buy the same precise pitch whistle should you ever lose it. Which is why I've bought a second, one to keep in the car, the other my pocket. What I dont much like is the price! It is after all just a plastic whistle, but to keep the same pitch I didnt have much choice. At least the first one was free! ;)

Was recommended to get one of these when we got our puppy and I must admit when I first used it I thought it was broken as it wasn't what I was expecting a whistle to sound like! But it worked and years later i'm still using it and the dogs are still responding!

Acme whistles are the just perfect. I went for orange so If I drop it I can find it. With this whistle it is set at a pitch so if you lose it you can buy another one with the same pitch. Unlike the silver twist ones where the pitch can vary. Would not buy another make and my Chocolate Lab Dylan does come back. I swear. she's a good girl

We ordered a second one of these after leaving our original at home one day when we went out for a walk. It is a perfect pitch for our spaniel puppy, it's well made and good value. We bought a different one made of horn that looked good but didn't work nearly as well. I would definitely recommend this product, it is also the exact whistle recommended by my trainer.

just what I expected, have another in purple and one in black, works for my papillon and alsation. ... recall one medium blow and down two short blows, works a treat, can't loose this whistle tho, nice bright colour and purchased pair of bright boot laces as cords.

This is my third whistle. Lost one, shut my last one in the door and broke it. This is to replace it. Good whistle. Arrived promptly

Great item I would recommend it

I was having trouble with recalling my dog out on walks, he was trained to come back to command and me whistling only sometimes my ability to whistle was well simply lacking and I felt my voice simply didn't carry far enough when he was in the coot chasing zone swimming about the lake. It took no time to get him accustomed to this. Just never blow it when on a walk with lots of other spaniels, it was a little scary having them all bounding towards me lol
