Libbey Tempo Glass Dinnerware Set, Sleek Square Clear Glass Plates and Bowls Set of 12, Dishwasher Safe Dinnerware for Parties or Everyday Use

I purchased this dinnerware set as a replacement set for everyday use. However, I may rethink that. Lol. Packaging - This set came in a medium sized box, cushioned with layers of cardboard and bubble wrap on the inside outer layer of the box. The box wasn't as heavy as I expected. However, each piece was meticulously individually protected with card board and bubble wrap. There would really have to be some SERIOUS rough-housing going on to receive these broken. (Rough-housing as in THROWING the box around). The Dinnerware - When I took the pieces out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes: They are BEAUTIFUL. Although they are square in shape, the edges are slightly rounded, instead of pointed/sharp, which would make them more vulnerable to chipping. When you hold one of the pieces, you know you have a quality piece in your hand: They have a heavy appearance, and they are, but they aren't SO HEAVY that they are a nuisance to pick up, hold, carry, or use. They aren't too big, nor too small. Their bottom middle surfaces aren't flat (with the exception of the bowls). They do have a VERY SLIGHT concave, but nothing to really take into consideration. Just thought I'd mention it pertaining to the design. I really like the unusual crafty design; even the bowls are square. My other glass dinnerware set was round, as most are. This set feels more solid. It has a very eloquent feel and look. Use - I won't hesitate to use this dinnerware for special occasions. I have tested them out in the microwave, the dishwasher, and stored food on them in the refrigerator, and they work and look like a charm. I must say, Mainstay has done it again.

Very eye appealing. I have not used in microwave as these are not dishwasher safe ! I have put hot foods on them and have not had issues. I have placed them in dishwasher several times. They are definitely perfect for any occasion or daily use. Priced perfect for the quality

They are really easy to clean, they look good. And, I totally prefer a square shape. NO WORRY of toxic glazes or paints they are just clear glass. I see other reviews complaining they broke. So, I would recommend not putting hot food on them or using them to heat up food on, or storing them in a freezer. Remember, also maybe when washing or just setting on your cupboard. Glass tends to be cold if the room is and if you take it from hot to cold or the other way around it can cause it to break. Which is dangerous. Also I noticed they are very slippery if you've got them soaped up for washing. Maybe also be careful of other dishes in the sink when washing so you don't hit them together. Just my experience with glass items, rinse after use or soak before washing so you aren't scrubbing so hard you risk hitting into something risking breaking. Otherwise, i've bonked them a couple times on my sink side and was worried, but no chips or cracks. They are thick glass so sturdy enough. They are a bit heavier also. Also because they are clear dont leave them laying around where you might not be able to see them.. Take care of them, they may just be the best set you'll ever own! They are my ultimate, favorite set of all time!

Love them! Exactly what I wanted. Immediately put them in the dish washer and they are still good so I would definitely say dishwasher safe! Definitely worth the money!

Although it says that you should not use them in the microwave, I wanted to test it because hello we all use the microwave these days and I have a few glass bowls that I put inside the microwave very often and nothing happens. So I did it with one of the salad plates, than by the way, regardless if you use it on the microwave or not I think they should be a little bit thicker. And it broke after 3 attempts in a row of 30 seconds. It did not brake while I used it in the microwave just once for 1 min. Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase. Just wished they can make them microwave safe. The main reason I bought them is because glass is lead free.
