Best range paper for hydro kratky dwc, plants like 5.5 to 6.5, so this paper is perfect!
happy plants like 5.5 to 6.5, so this is a good double check against a digital meter. Remember to calibrate digital meters regularly, nearly killed all the plants because the meter was off. When stored in a cool, dry, dark place, this roll should last a while. If you are red green colorblind, these will not work for you. If you are not good at seeing subtle color differences, this will not work for you. Hydrion is the best ph paper manufacturer, their products are consistently good every time. Use clean dry hands to dispense the paper, and read immediately after contact with solution. Placing the paper on a towel or porus surface will transfer the dye, so be careful not to set the used paper on anything you care about. Does not give exact ph readings (it's not designed for that), good for testing a solution already known to be within a specific range of ph, more specific than the 1 through 14 range Hydrion paper.

Easy to read!
Super effective, easy to read. Dip, shake, interpret. Basically the same stuff we use in my biochemistry lab at the university. This is a very convenient sensitivity and detection range for plant fertilizer solutions for regular or hydroponic gardening. Highly recommended. We use this with an electronic pH meter for assurance, and they match pretty closely. We trust these strips. It’s part of a roll, so you tear off what you need. The indicator solution can come off on hands, and that is probably to be avoided.

Useful, and received at least one-year prior to dated expiration.
This product was useful, and when received was at least one-year prior to expiration. As far as I can tell, over the short useful range of pH 5.0-7.0 which was pertinent to this application, there are no visually highly-contrasting indicator dyes or mixes. So it is not surprising that this (# 2210) and the similarly short-range pH 4.5-7.5 (# 334) are calibrated to 0.5 unit steps. (# 067 5.5-8.0 has a shorter-stepped (unevenly spaced) color chart, but was not useful because pHs below ~5.7 could not be distinguished from one another.) Perhaps the manufacturer has recommendations, but I found that making close color distinctions by eye could be helped by paying attention to lighting. For example, ambient indoor illumination by household-bulbs designed to enhance for certain pleasing tones did make a reading difficult - unless supplemented by a different type of lamp. If of interest, this use was to assess pH of plant nutrient solutions, and to adjust it for better absorption of certain components by the roots in particular media. (And, coincidence or not, the tomatoes this year did indeed turn out quite well.)

Quick and simple
Just what I needed. Quickly ascertain the fluids pH for my plants. Much easier and I honestly think more accurate than the pH pens that I have

Works good.
I bought this to do some soil testing in my garden. It does the job.

Effective
This is only for pH 4.5 to 8.5 so keep that in mind. It’s accurate. The strip is greenish but have accurate readings, I know some people say they’re suppose to be yellow so I’m not sure. I tested on several things as in the picture to prove myself that it’s accurate. I got it to test my urine pH and for the future for amniotic fluid although I’m not sure how much that’ll work out. You dip and take it out after 1-2 seconds no need to leave it there as I think it will affect the results. Keeping it with a desiccant and rice in the darkness to keep moisture out. Expiration date is on the box it came in. Good expiration date about a year from now.

Bought for making hard ciders.
Works but, for making hard ciders and wines need to have more of a range. Wanted to have the .5 increment range so I went with this one since a 5.0pH is a good place to be when starting fermentation. Most of the ones with a wider range have increments of 1pH. First time using I came in low and realized I needed something that read lower so I also ordered Hydrion S/r Dispenser 0.0-6.0pH paper. Now between the two I have a decent range for my needs.
