My shoe size is 8-1/2, but I have a wide foot, so I always order a 9 (when I was a kid I had to order a 10!!). The first pair I bought were great. The second pair are slightly more tight, but still okay. I had to return this third pair because they are simply too tight, and my heel sits on the edge of the back part. **Q: Size 5bm - does that mean size 5 us?** A: All all I can say is that I ordered a 9 and it fit perfectly as any other size 9 and so comfortable. **Q: I have a pair of Dawgs now and on the bottom it says 7/8. What size do I order? I usually wear and 8 in a regular shoe.** A: My Dawgs say 9/40 on the bottom. (40 is the European size.) I wear a 9 shoe, so they work perfectly for me. I think you should order an 8. As far as I know Dawgs no longer come with two sizes listed on the same shoe. Good luck to you. **Q: what is the actual height difference be the heel and the platform? dr wants a half inch** A: I believe the height of the heel compared to the height at the sole is at least 1", maybe even 1.25" My feet hurt a lot if I wear flats, even 1/2" is too low for me. Good quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If they fit well, they are easy and so comfy to wear *by I***K on August 30, 2025* I really enjoy wearing these sandals and have a pair in most every color and pattern they make. These can’t be adjusted, so either they fit well or they don’t. I wear a size 6.5 shoe normally, and the size 6 in this sandal is perfect. They are so lightweight to wear and appropriately casual for jeans, shorts, or culottes. Easy enough to clean up the bottom with an old toothbrush and elbow grease in the laundry tub. We don’t wear outside shoes into our house, so one caution: at least bring them into the garage or store a pair (as I do) in a hanging bag by the various external doors. Do NOT leave these outside in the hot sun or you will come back to a smaller size!
