You get nothing for the $9.99 price. I purchased these to grind into powder; had to fight myself could not stop eating them right out of the container/taste great. They remind me of the snack ones I got at the grocery store in the snack beef jerky aisle. I got more mushrooms in that small $5 and change bag than I got in this $9.99 bunch. Once I ground them into powder I have literally nothing left/2 good TBSpoons. I had been buying their $6.99, 1.5 oz. size but need a larger size. I see that some companies sell theirs by the bag for $11.99 for 8 oz. which is around $1.50 oz and a Much, Much better price -time to switch over tand get the larger size plus save some money. If you only want the jerky style mushroom snack/taste I give them 5 stars on that. Slightly sweet.

I ate the whole container in one day. But, it was in two separate sittings, so a little grace please. That's not necessarily a testament to how good they are. I am a chip addict and will eat almost anything crunchy with a bit of salt on it. Honestly, these Shiitake Mushroom Crisps from Vigorous Mountains weren't as flavorful as I had hoped. I use a lot of dehydrated shiitake in my cooking at home. When you soak them, they're beautifully fragrant. Even after you drain off the hydration water, they're still tasty. You can also reserve that water and use it as stock too. These crisps are the equivalent of kettle corn to me. A little bit sweet, a little bit salty and really addictive. For the price, I would rather eat kettle corn. If you're thinking about purchasing these for an expensive keto friendly treat, know that the maltose that these contain is not keto friendly. Additionally, per 100 grams of this, there is 80.4 grams of carbohydrate. That's definitely not keto friendly either (container size is 85 grams). There is no way to calculate net carbs even though fiber is stated, as there is not declaration of sugar content. The maltose contributes to the dark flavor that shiitake inherently has. It's like the goodness of baked sweet potato which contains naturally occuring maltose. I think it tries to enhance what shiitake flavor there is left. And the salt brings it out a little more too. The type of oil that these are fried in is not stated. Typically, that will mean soybean oil, but no way of knowing here. Tasty, addictive yes. A little shiitake flavor, but not enough to keep me coming back.

I have been trying a number of brands and styles of mushroom snacks. I have to say that these are among the best of all the brands I have been able to find in stores or here on Amazon. Even without any enhancements (wasabi flavor, pizza, barbeque, etc.) these have a great taste. I have already bought them again (go for the larger container 'cause they will not last) !

Like chips, it's hard to stop snacking on these freeze-dried mushroom crisps, but the novelty wears off quickly and I liked the first one a lot more than the last one. They are not that salty and actually they are just a little sweet from the maltose in the ingredients. The mushroom flavor was actually pretty subtle, a lot more so than I expected. They are made in China.

In a world of 100,000 snacks, these mushroom are good but not great. and that's simply not enough for me to buy these again.

Best mushrooms crisps ever. I just wish they weren't so pricey because I can eat the entire container in one sitting.

They have an ok flavor. Kinda sweet, missing umami and a bit of salt. They were not even close to being worth it.
