DAP Weatherproof Patching Compound, White, 16 Oz (7079818740)

This patching compound worked really well for sealing and repairing small cracks and gaps. It spreads smoothly, dries solid, and holds up nicely against weather and moisture. The white color blends well with most surfaces and can be painted over once dry. A reliable product that does exactly what it should — great for outdoor use!

This product is very uniform and easy to spread, you can level with easily, it dries extremely quickly. Once it's dry, it's easy to sand flush. You can fill large holes you can fill salt small holes. You can fill flat shallow holes. Once it's dry and over painted, it's essentially weatherproof. I don't know why anybody would use anything else unless you want a complete curing system like Bondo. This is not structural it's just for cosmetic, but you can rebuild massive areas of loss very easily. It's hard for you to believe how fast it drives.

We used this to patch an outdoor statue that was damaged by a storm. It filled the hole and bonded on the first attempt. Also held the paint. Worked better than advertised.

I cannot speak to durability because I just used this product today, but it went on quickly and my tools cleaned up easily as long as I cleaned them soon after use. I sincerely hope that it is as mildew resistant as the label claims. I removed a star because it does not dry as quickly as I would like in my area. On the other hand, if it dried too quickly, it would be difficult to install into unusually shaped crevices. The texture appeared to be appropriate for my repairs. I will add a star if I this as durable and mildew resistant over time as stated on the the container. The one drawback is that, as the directions say, deeper areas must be built up 1/8 inch at a time. It would be wonderful if I could find a product with the ease of use and mildew resistance of this product, but could be used much thicker. Unfortunately, everything I looked at fell short in one of my key requirements. This did not perfectly fit my needs, but it is the best product available for my repair jobs.

Worked well. I’m no pro and could manage it well and it is an efficient product.

I had a hole in my white vinyl siding. I use this product to repair the vinyl. The material was easy to spread with a putty knife and set up quickly. The repair is barely visible. I would recommend this product.

Good material for patching hardi blank cracks

Used to patch a few chips and cracks on my cement siding. Worked very well and seems not to shrink.
