It didn’t occur to me until just recently that countertop composters need filter changes. Mine started to smell quite vegetal, and that’s when I started to wonder if there was such thing as a replacement filter for my composter. Indeed there is! And it looks like I should’ve been on a monthly rotation. Doing so keeps all odors away, and makes composting quite manageable. I did need to trim the filters to fit into my composter, but a pair of scissors is all that is needed. There are some videos on YouTube if you need instruction. These are all reasonably priced too. Seller has been very communicative as well.

These filters are good and thick. They hold up well over time.

I'm a picky one and these filters REALLY work. We have a small compost pail on our kitchen counter and there is no smell (as in, zero) that comes from it with these disks on the job! I change them every 60 days like clockwork and we haven't had an issue. About to reorder a new batch for 2024. Happy new year to the environment AND to me!

I was happy to find replacements that were thick and included both circle and square filter combination that work the best in my Norpro compost bucket. I was unhappy that the price went up $3 overnight after I put it in my cart.

I don't normally write reviews, but I appreciated the thought that went into the design of these charcoal filters. The filters I've used before and the ones that have come with my composter bins, buckets, pails (whatever) were all really thin and sized wrong for the lids. These filters though are thick and fit snug in the lids I have (see photos) and don't rattle around like the ones I've used before. I especially like the square filter because once it's installed, it arches up inside the lid so that it kind of blocks the "entrance" into the lid which makes me feel much more at ease that I'll be able to correct fruit fly issues before they get out of control unlike in my previous experiences (fruit flies are abundant where I live.) Clever!

Using the double charcoal filter set for our Utopia stainless counter top 1.3 gallon composter. These are much thicker than ones that came with composter. You just pinch and slip the square one into the top first, then round one goes under the rim. Ours needed no trimming and were a perfect fit. It’s been 6 weeks and we can still put our noses up close and no odors detected. They recommend changing every 2 months. The set is 6 pairs so technically should last for a year. Good to have the changes on hand. Would recommend.

These filters are awesome! They're much thicker than the other filters and keep out ALL the odors. Super easy to insert and they stay put when removing the lid (our old ones slipped out sometimes). I will definitely buy this brand again. :-)

I bought these filters for my kitchen compost bin to replace the ones that came with the bin. The original ones had lasted much longer period it seems like I'm replacing these about every month.
