Xantech ML95K IR Receiver Kit

I bought this to allow me to put my DVR, BluRay and Surround Receiver inside new built in units so that only the IR eye is visible.The instructions say to make a half inch hole for the eye, but in actual fact the eye I received is bigger than that at 3/4" so it's not quite as discreet as I was hoping for.The included choice of colored rings is great, my unit is off white and I use the white ring, its a pretty close match.The only slight issue (and it's not really an issue with the product) is that when I open the door of the unit if its getting hot inside, the IR reception seems to clash between the eye and the IR receiver on the devices themselves and does not work.

I've used 3 different IR extenders, including logitech, and this is the first one that didn't require me to inch up closer to the receiver with my remote, and worked all the way across the room. It comes with an ample number of remote extenders (useful if your TV/Projector is outside the cabinet while your components are inside), and I love the ability to drill a hole to mount it discreetly on your cabinet.It comes with 3 different rings that help you match the color of your cabinet.It's much better than the models which either have a device you have to put on top of your cabinet, or the ones which have adhesive tape to mount to the front of your cabinet (which ends up looking ugly, and is prone to fall off).
