It works well, and no kitty irritation. -- 1 Week update...
Day 3:If you are like most people, you have three main concerns over flea medication:1. Is it safe?2. Will it kill the fleas?3. How much is it going to cost?We have a total of 9 cats, and we imported a bad flea problem when we brought in a feral mama kitty and her 4 kittens. Before we knew they had fleas, we had an infestation for all of our cats. We placed the kittens with a no kill adoption shelter after socializing them, and kept mama since she was amicable to being domesticated. But that still left us with fleas. One of our cats with long hair had the worst flea problem. I was using a flea comb on him twice a day, and getting roughly 20 fleas off of him per combing. All cats were fighting with itching and biting at their fleas. I tried using the Hartz topical drops, and I might as well have been using water. It brought no change at all for any of the cats.I then waited one month to use this product, and it went well. None of the cats seemed irritated by the drops. A few didnโt like the liquid on their neck, but they didnโt do mouthing motions like they had with the Hartz, which indicates they could taste the Hartz while it was entering their system.Within 12 hours of their individual applications (I staggered them so I could isolate each cat while the drops dried) the amount of biting and scratching at fleas dropped greatly. I did combing of a few of them at the 24 hour marks, and the one long-hair had 2 living fleas that could barely walk, and no other fleas at all. Within 48 hours, there were no fleas found on any of the cats except the long-hair, who had 2 small fleas that were still alive, but could not stand. These were small, and probably had just hopped onto him from the carpeting.I am very happy with the results, and will follow-up with a second treatment at the 30 days mark. One bit of adviceโif you have a beard or hair trimmer that is not too loud, and cannot cut skin, I would suggest trimming a quarter-sized spot on the back of your catโs neck before applying this. (If you can convince your cat to sit for it!) Doing this will allow you to apply the medication directly to the skin/undercoat, allowing it to sink in directly without wicking up too much into the fur. When I did this, the liquidโwhich has the consistency of a thin oilโsat in that spot and did not run all over. Petting the cat and keeping it in an upright position for a few minutes allowed the treatment to seep and spread at the skin level, which is most effective.A good product at a good price!I will amend this if there is anything negative to report, but I do not anticipate such.Day 7:The fleas are coming back. The frist 1-2 days the numbers combed out of the cats plummeted dramatically. Then the numbers started to rise. I can understand that the flea eggs and larvae that were on the floor and everywhere else might have been rotating in, but that would not explain the dramatic decline, and then rise, in fleas combed out. Figure--if fleas were rotating in, then they should have been rotating in the first 1-2 days as well. Not a problem. But the fact remains that the numbers are going up. The only thing I can think of is that the toxicity to fleas drops off after a couple of days, and thus the ones are simply not dying off as quickly. And after only 1 week, that tells me that by the end of the second week, the fleas will be back in full force, with 2 more weeks before I can treat again.

8, EIGHT Cats NO FLEAS
We have 8 cats, yes I said EIGHT!! So before I knew it or wanted to realize, we had an infestation. I didnโt think any over the counter product was going to completely get rid of them, but knew I had to try something. In the past & not having a lot of money, Iโd find myself spending on foggers, floor treatments, sprays, dips, collars, combs, flea drops to no avail. I tried to educate myself on ingredients, specific dosage per pound & read through an abundance of reviews this time around. Ultimately I purchased these drops & have never had to buy anything else. Itโs been at least a year since I purchased the 1st time & after 3 total treatments of this product only, we still donโt have any fleas and our cats are healthy. One of our eight seemed to have a mild reaction (vomited a lil & looked a bit dizzy) on the 1st treatment but symptoms subsided within 15mins, I monitored closely checking the time. 6 of the 8 are long haired Persians and it worked on all of them. My mother was spending hundreds of dollars with her local vet to treat her 3 cats preventively & was desperate for a trustworthy product that could last, deliver results & protect her cats over time, 1 of them is indoor/outdoor. After seeing I had great results & no harm to 8 cats for the year+ using this product, sheโs now using it. Now I personally know of 11 cats and 2 separate households that have benefited from this product. Please do your due diligence on product safety & know how much your giving your pets. We took the extra step in weighing each cat and measuring out the medication precisely for each. Thereโs a website from a former shelter technician who actually lists dosages of this productโs main ingredient for cats and dogs by weight that I happened to find and followed their directions exactly as stated. That being said I donโt know of nor would I ever try any other product. Our cats look beautiful, their coats came back full, shiny, soft and are healthier overall without fleas.

Good quality for price
TevraPet Actispot II is a monthly topical flea treatment that offers effective prevention and control of fleas on cats when used as directed. It contains imidacloprid and pyriproxyfen, the same active ingredients found in some well-known veterinarian brands, but typically at a lower cost, making it a budget-friendly alternative for ongoing flea control. The formula is designed to kill adult fleas, flea eggs, and larvae, helping to break the flea life cycle and reduce reinfestation. Many users report that it starts working quickly and keeps cats mostly flea-free when applied consistently once per month. The application is straightforward: part the fur at the base of your catโs neck and apply the liquid directly to the skin. The waterproof formula usually continues to work even if your cat gets a bit wet after treatment. A six-month supply typically covers one full flea season or an extended preventive schedule.Pros:โข Effectiveness: Many customers find it successfully eliminates fleas and prevents new infestations when used regularly.โข Good value: The product tends to be more affordable than some veterinary-only brands while using the same active ingredients.โข Ease of use: The spot-on application is simple and straightforward for most cat owners.โข Waterproof: Generally continues protecting after light wetting.โข Breaks flea life cycle: Targets both adult fleas and immature stages.Cons:โข Variable results: Some cats may not respond as strongly, especially in severe infestations or heavy flea pressure.โข Potential irritation: A small number of pets might show temporary redness or scratching after application; monitoring after first use is recommended and consult a vet if irritation persists.โข Weight/age restrictions: Must use the correct formula for your catโs weight and only on cats above the minimum age/weight listed on the label.โข Safety precautions: As with all topical flea products, keep it away from your catโs mouth and apply where they cannot easily lick it; accidental ingestion can cause drooling or mild reactions.Summary:Overall, TevraPet Actispot II is a solid monthly flea-treatment choice for many cat owners seeking effective protection at a lower price point. It works well when used consistently and paired with good environmental flea control, but itโs important to follow dosage instructions closely and be alert for any signs of sensitivity.

It's ok...
Nowhere near the potency or quality of revolution plus, but you get what you pay for. Cats were highly affected and went hide after application and it has a string chemical smell that's nearly impossible to get off. Easy yo use and somewhat effective for a temporary fix, but noticeable side effects of watery eyes, sneezing and lip kicking immediately after use.No longer term effects as of yet. On the fence of using again once I see long term results.

Works great IF you apply it correctly
So I tried a flea collar from some cheap retailer here on Amazon. It sucked and it was full of essential oil bullsh*t that was supposed to repel the fleas. Didn't work at all. So I bought this.1000% better! The first time I applied it though, I did it wrong. And here's the important part. When you're applying the medicine, DO NOT PUT IT ALL IN ONE SPOT. There is too much of the medicine and the cat's hairs will wick away the medicine from the skin. This medicine is only effective if it comes in contact with the cat's skin. So when I applied it to the first cat, I put it all in one spot and most of the medicine got in her hair, and not on her skin. I applied a dose to my second cat in several spots on the back of their neck and lo and behold, the second cat was flea free from that day forward while the first cat still had fleas. Why? Because she didn't receive the full dose and it made the medicine ineffective. It's only effective if it gets on your cat's skin. One month later, I applied the second dose to each cat and did a much better job this time, applying the dose to many small spots on their necks, and both cats were flea free from that day forward. Literally started working within 24 hours. If someone is saying that this product doesn't work, there could be several reasons for that. They might not have figured out that you have to spread out the dose to multiple spots on their pet's neck in order for maximum skin contact. Or it could be that the fleas they're fighting are resistant to this type of medicine. The latter is unlikely, but possible. The former is most likely the issue.I also didn't notice any adverse effects on my cats, but like people, cats are different from each other and some could be allergic, though I imagine that's extremely rare, so just keep a look-out for that.Overall, I highly rate this product. It has the same active ingredients as the name brands, in the same proportions. It's essentially the same product but without throwing excessive money at it. I definitely recommend it and will continue dosing my cats for the next few months until the doses are all gone. I haven't seen fleas since I started properly dosing them and that's proof for me that it works.

Not very effective
I found that it only works for about 3 weeks and doesn't totally get rid of all the eggs. I have to use a flea comb in addition to this. I have also found live fleas on me. I tried a collar for my big cat which didn't work at all. It was one of those expensive ones. It works for my smaller cat. I may have to try a different brand next time.
