Not hard to learn how to re-key and once you know how it was easy to get the job done.

This rekeying kit was very easy to use. Has all the parts that I need to do more than the two doors/4 locks that needed it probably do two more at least. Only took about 10 minutes per lock and that was with me dilly-dailying. For the money definitely Beach calling a locksmith. Everything fit good works pretty good maybe a little less smooth than the original ones the colors were clearly distinguishable and I definitely feel good about being able to change the key to my home so definitely a good buy makes me feel safe.

I really want to give this kit 5 stars because it's all you need to easily and quickly rekey "6" locks... I put "6" in quotations for two reasons: 1. Because of the two kits I bought, two had missing pins. 2. Because I am not a locksmith so I didn't realize that double barrel locks will take 2 sets of pins. I'm not sure who does the QC at Prime-Line but my 1st kit came with 3x silver and 1x red missing pins. So, the maximum number of locks I could rekey was 3. Now... I had two double-barrel locks, so I only got 1.5 locks done out of the 6 that I needed to rekey. I had to run to the local hardware store and get another kit. In that kit, I found 1x green pin missing. Now I should be able to rekey 12 lock barrels, but with the missing pins, I only had 9 sets of pins which worked out ok because I had 3x double barrel locks, and 3x single barrel locks. This kit also works with Defiant locks that HD sells, in case anyone needs to know. As far as the install goes, it is super easy, just remember to use the follower to hold the springs in place. Very important. I wrote prime-line to see if they will send me the missing pins. I'll see what they say.

This is an okay product.The tweezers are plastic, and they don't hold nothing.But i'm a locksmith, and I just tried it out, I don't like it

Used it and it worked good

I ordered two of these as I had six locks to re-key. The included instructions were adequate, and the online you-tube video I found gave great instruction, but halfway through I ran into a snag. I had no problem re-keying a deadbolt, but I could not remove the cylinder from the doorknob with the tool provided in either set. It turns out that the metal removal tool provided in each set was slightly over 12mm wide, and was slightly too wide to slide up inside the doorknob to release the cylinder from the doorknob. Fortunately I have a grinder and was able to take about .5 mm off the tool at the end which goes into the doorknob. After that change the tool slid in and the cylinder popped right out. Otherwise everything worked fine. If a little more quality control had gone into the tool I would give this 5 stars, but since (at least in my case) the tool was unusable as provided, I can only give it 3 stars.

This kit saved me over $400 versus having a locksmith come over to do the same thing. I re-keyed 4 Kwickset locks in 2 hours and now all use the same key. Previously I had 2 keys for the 4 doors. I imagine it's dificult for the instructions to keep up with changes that are made by the manufacturer of the door knobs so it is necessary that you have a good understanding of the differences in the re-keying of the various models by reading through the entire set of instructions before starting the process. My knobs required the use of steps from 2 different models at various points of the process. After taking my time to figure out the steps for the first one, the three others were very easy to do and only took an additional 45 minutes. The included spring lock removal tool didn't seem to have the correct diameter so instead I just used a couple small screwdrivers to pry it off. I am very happy with this kit and recommend it to anyone with patience and at least an average mechanical skill set.

Not a bad kit at all. The plastic twizzers are not very useful, but that's not what you buy the kit for. I was able to re-pin a Kwikset lock cylinder with the provided keys.

Does the job no issues encountered.

Kit provides all the pieces you need to re-key 3 kwikset locks. Advice1: READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! There is a tumbler follower that needs to be used to push the tumbler out without releasing all of the springs/pins in the lock mechanism. USE THIS TOOL! If you follow the instructions faithfully, you will be able to re-key 3 locks (remove, rekey and reinstall) in about 15 minutes. Advice 2: take a photo of the rekeyed tumbler pin order. This will make it easy to ensure the subsequent tumbler pin orientations are accurate and allow for a trouble free experience. A simple and expensive way to rekey your locks and to avoid the cost of a locksmith.

Good product, but I had to sand down the push rod so it fit the lock. Easy enough to do. I put it in a drill and used sandpaper while it was spinning. Finished with fine grit to make it smooth.

This is a great kit for rekeying all your locks to use the same key. Make sure they use the same key/lock system. They have all the tools you need. I followed the instructions from a youtuber online. So glad I used this for all my locks.

These are hard to find locally. My local home depot and Canadian tire only sell the schlage kits. This kit contained 3 keys and all the pins you'd need to rekey your lock. The e-clip wrench was bad quality, luckily I already had a sparrows wrench. Pin tweezers were also horrible quality as expected with these kits
