Not too thick!
I was wearing these on a hike that started hot/humid, built up to much cooler temps, and we dealt with random drizzle/rain.These are not super thick so my feet stayed very comfortable. Normally I have to wear toe socks since I'm prone to blisters so I was worried about these for my first ever mountain hike. They were very comfortable, and the length helped against the high-top of my hiking boots. Through all the temps and weather changes, I didn't have any issues! I did change socks about 7 hours in, but only because we hit a steep loose gravel descend and I was getting all the rocks out of my shoes. I just changed to keep it fresh, but not due to any issues with the socks themselves at all.

Warm, comfortable, and great support for hiking.
I thought nothing could beat my "Darn Tough" socks for hiking comfort and warmth in the Winter months. So I was VERY hesitant to purchase anything other than that brand. I hike DAILY with my dogs on the local mountain trails near my home often for 2 or 3 hours a day, and for the last 5 years I've only used Darn Tough socks since they seem to last a long time but they are not cheap. So I couldn't turn down the bargain I saw for these new socks when I read the reviews. ( even if I don't always trust the reviews since they don't always answer the questions I need answers to). I have a wide foot and I HATE having seams in the toes that so often make the sock uncomfortable with those tiny little "knots" around the small toe and the big toe so when the shoe presses down on the sock you can really feel it, almost like something is stuck there. (yes, I'm very sensitive to those sort of things) ;-) So, now I'm hooked on these new socks. The only thing left to see is how long they last through hiking and the wash! I hope it's a long time. If so, I will make sure to buy more. And the various colors are great fun too.

Wow, just wow. These are my favorite winter socks I've ever owned, and I’ve got 38 winters behind me.Pros:1. Quality/durability. They’re very well made and have withstood boot wear during outdoor work on our property, as well as constantly wearing them around the house on bare hardwood floors without slippers. Oops.2. Comfort: This is threefold - A) If you’re cold-natured like me, you’ll appreciate that they reach about half calf - higher than all others I have tried that aren't actually knee-highs. B) The arch support feels really nice. C) They’re very warm but breathable...for someone with hyperhidrosis it’s a 10% chance a pair of socks won’t retain sweat yet will still remain warm...these are those rare 10 percenters. Hooray!3) I’m a size 6/8 in pants and often think crew socks are way too tight around the ankle and calf (and I don't even have cankles !). Finally, these aren’t! These fit and stay up, but do not even remotely cut my circulation off. You other non-stick figure ladies know exactly what I’m talking about.Cons:1) Price. At the end of the day, they do cost slightly more than their competitors...but, they know they have a solid product, so they can.If you’re searching for the perfect winter socks, pay the extra few bucks and end your search here.
