Review: A little goes a long way, great value - This is great. Water soluble so easy clean up of roller and tray. It goes a long way so order less and reorder if you need to. I did 2 coats on an outside wall of a sunroom. Looks great. Smells odd when wet but this goes away in few hours. Smells like mildly sweaty feet, not the worst smell and does last long, it’s not overwhelming at all.
Review: Absolutely brilliant! - Just put a small 7ft x 6ft uPVC on the back of the bungalow, there was already a patio area with slabs over a hard core/cement base so rather than digging out foundations the porch sits over the slabs. To seal any damp that might come up through the slabs I did some research about damp proof course products and went for Drybase as it was available in an easy to apply liquid with a brush or roller, I used a brush. It also dries very quickly and has hardly any odour. I liked the fact it not only protects against damp but also various harmful gases. I cleaned the slabs before application and although 2 coats are recommended to be on the safe side and to fill in the tiny gaps between the slabs I put 4 coats on. Criss crossing coats. It took about 6hours altogether from application to completion. I'm very pleased with the finish, it feels warm to the touch, the gaps are sealed between the slabs and where the bottom of the walls join the floor. The temperature outside when I did it was around 20C. I laid the vinyl flooring the next morning and an outdoor rug just protect the vinyl a bit. It really is brilliant stuff. In fact it's so good I've used some of it to repaint the top of my large air source heat pump, because the window installers had scratched the paint off when fitting a new kitchen window and I didn't want the AHP cover to rust. In fact I've only just painted the AHP top cover and it's just 10C outside maybe a bit less, and the Drybase still took less than an hour to dry between coats. It's not meant to be used in this way, but seeing as I'd bought a 5L can and only used about 1L I thought I might as well use some of it up. I believe from memory the shelf life once opened is about 2years if kept sealed and in a dark cool shed or outbuilding. I read that the life of the product used on the actual floor is about 2-3yrs so I'll give the porch floor another 4 coats in 2 years time whether it needs it or not. So yes I'd recommend this product, the hardest thing was getting the lid off and putting it back on again. Oh and it goes a looooong way, so I'd recommend getting a 1L tin to start, because that's all I used and ended up with 3/4 of a tin left over. And if you do need to get a second tin 2 x 1L tins are only £40 so cheap enough for a professional finish!

**Q: Can you apply over newly emultion painted wall or would you have to get the emultion off somehow**
A: We painted straight over white emulsion walls in our brick shed and it worked a treat

**Q: What is a good paint to use over this? I’m concerned the rubbery finish will mean the paint would crack.**
A: Emulsion is fine.

**Q: Is this a white paint, or do I have to use another white paint to paint over it once I apply this?**
A: It is a white membrane for damp proofing within a sandwich of materials not normally used as an exposed finished surface as it not a "wearing" surface.

**Q: Can this be used on a small damp patch on a kitchen floor with cupboards already in place? Would like to lay laminate on top afterwards.**
A: You would need to apply it directly to the concrete floor and ideally would remove the cupboards first so you can properly paint the whole patch. Then after that it would be fine to out laminate on to

This is great. Water soluble so easy clean up of roller and tray. It goes a long way so order less and reorder if you need to. I did 2 coats on an outside wall of a sunroom. Looks great. We had some bridging over the dpc from our porch into the hallway. After some re-plumbing, I used this to try and seal the wall to prevent water getting in. So far so good. Very easy to put on, the people complain it is too thin either have no idea what they are on about or bought a different product to me! Worth the money for small damp issues. Just follow the instructions
