Philadelphia Candies Milk Chocolate Covered Assorted Creams (Soft Center Chocolates), 1 Pound Gift Box

Got them for my wife for valentines she however couldn't wait and I also had one ... so far not disappointed was very good and i might have to steal the box way from her so she still has some for another day , they did not come with a chart to tell what kinds are what but that is part of the fun I guess

Are these chocolates or a chemical factory? Considering they have no flavor, I have to assume a chemical factory. Check out the ingredients - they include Red3, Red40, Blue 1, Blue 2, Yellow 5 and/or Yellow 6, vanillin (Artificial Flavor), other artificial flavors, Agar Agar, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Sulfur Dioxide, and Sodium Metabisulfite. I'm surprised they had any room left for the chocolate. And again, these things have no flavor, other than a sweetness combined with a light chocolate sense, so the only thing they're good for is the trash can, which is where mine went. Don't waste your money.

I found these to be delicious. I was incredibly impressed that they packaged it in a thermal kind of package that had an ice pack then boxed so that they wouldn't melt. I'll be buying these again.

The chocolate coating is rich and very sweet but the creams are not what was expected in the flavor department. You know it is powder sugar with cream but light on flavoring. Picture shows orange, lemon, strawberry, blueberries, mocha, and coconut. But this box didn’t have that mixed variety. There were no orange or strawberry only two lemon, several coconut, maple, blueberries, and chocolate inside. But flavors were not that flavorful. Especially for the price. I do not recommend these chocolates. But another chocolate I do recommend is by Archer.

Overall, these were good. Not good enough to eat the whole box myself, but good enough to share around the office (people liked them). There was no flavor map, so I suspect they give you a random assortment. Even so, the individual pieces had no distinct markings, so no idea what you are about to eat. So if you like a chocolate mystery box, this is your item! On balance, the flavors were good and the quality was fine. Centers are flavorful and a think liquid, not chewy. Chocolate was milk and sweet, good quality. I would buy again, but not in a rush to do so. Would like these in an assortment with nougats and nuts. Kind of monotonous (yes I know I got a box of cremes, I'm not complaining, just saying I would also like to see an assortment).

I bought these for my brother in assisted living and he absolutely loved them , I will probably get him some more

The cream centers have no flavor and the chocolate was only "meh." Pretty expensive considering.

1ST NEGATIVE REVIEW IN 12 YEARS ON AMAZON I will be brief yet thorough… I ordered these soft center candies as an “IN-STOCK” item. I read the reviews before buying them and decided to try them. Well, they turned out to be NOT “IN-STOCK” and after several days of the tracking number provided not showing any progress, I sent a message to the SELLER. They responded that the item was “OUT-OF-STOCK” and would ship in a few days. This turned into a disaster as the Big Storm we all experienced, happened. I ordered them on December 9th and finally received them on December 23rd. 2 weeks waiting… After eating about 22 pieces of the 32 total pieces, over the next several days, there was no selection of flavors as they advertised. Out of those there was only Brown, White & 3 Pink centers. So not being happy with the idea that I got shorted on flavors and there is no map of the flavors, I decided to cut open the rest of them. Here is the result. (S/B#) = Should Be # of pieces for that flavor: QTY./Cream Flavor/(S/B#) 1 Blueberry (3) - 7 Chocolate (4) - 2 Coconut (3) - 2 Coffee (3) - 1 Lemon (2) - 6 Maple (4) - 1 Orange (2) - 1 Raspberry (3) - 3 Strawberry (4) - 8 Vanilla (4) So, there was a large shortage of the claimed flavors that was even printed on the shipper included in the shipping box. (Obviously there were extra of some flavors…) Finally, I do agree with other reviewers that the flavors of the creams are very faint. You have to really work at flavor determination of the flavor consumed. The texture was okay and not undesirable, but the service, lack of correct quantity of flavors, quality of the product & experience was not worth the $37.78 I paid for them. As of this review on 12/30/22, the SELLER still has not remedied or responded to my multiple requests on this order. Sadly, I would reconsider whether you take a chance on these Chocolate creams.
