I bought two of them that i hoped to use for electronics ie: designing computer circuits along with some analog circuits. I am a retired electronics engineer and just like to keep my mind active. Anyway, one unit operates pretty well the second unit might be good for tattooing but I doubt even that. The thing has intermittent noise levels in excess of .1 volts I don't think it would even make a good paper weight, it is not heavy enough. If I hadn't thrown out the original box I can assure you Amazon would be eating this one. A hobbyist should shy away from this one, it will cause very unexpected things to happen and you would end up wasting a lot of time. Opt for a little more expensive unit and save yourself a lot of headaches. On the plus side, the rubber feet are nice, the power cord is not bad and the case is a nice size. Sorry but that is it.
