Smooth, Rich Coffee That Makes Every Morning Better
I have tried so many coffee brands over the years but Lavazza Espresso Whole Bean Coffee has really become one of my favorites. The instant I opened the bag, the smell was wonderful. It smelled like rich, fresh coffee, and my kitchen instantly turned into a cozy little café.The smoothness and balance of flavor is what I like about this coffee. Some espresso coffees can be too bitter or strong but this one has a very nice medium roast taste that is rich without being overbearing. It tastes slightly sweet and creamy, so it is good both as regular coffee and in espresso drinks.I run these beans through my espresso machine every morning and they grind beautifully. The crema is thick and a beautiful golden color, which makes my homemade lattes and cappuccinos all the more special. Even my husband who is very particular about coffee said how fresh and flavorful it is.The 2.2-pound bag is also a great value, as it lasts a long time, even in a house full of coffee drinkers. I like that the beans stay fresh when sealed properly and I have not had any oily/stale beans in the bag.I also like that this coffee gives you a nice energy boost and doesn't taste harsh or acidic. It's smooth enough that I can drink more than one cup without it upsetting my stomach.Overall, I think Lavazza Espresso Whole Bean Coffee is a great choice for anyone who loves strong, smooth coffee with a high-end cafe taste at home. I will definitely keep buying this for my daily coffee habit.

Really delicious and great value
So far this is my favorite "big coffee" whole bean coffee. I generally go local as much as possible, but for my everyday latte, this is IMHO the absolute best bang for the buck. Very rich, great cocoa notes, very balanced but complex, and a lot of dried cherry flavor. I really like this particular blend.

Excellent Roast and Very Good Value for Automatic Coffee Makers.
If you have an automatic grinder coffee makes this is the perfect choice. This medium strength roast is not TOO oily. When you use a dark roast most of the time the beans are very oily and will gum up the hopper, grinder and shoot. I have the Cuisinart Grind and Brew and oily beans don't work well but these work perfect. This is a better alternative as the espresso bean variety makes up for not having dark roast beans. I definately would purchase these again or other medium roast Lazazza variety options. The flavor of the brew is perfect, not bitter but smooth. And the pricing was very good for the 2.2 lb bag and lower than stores near me.

Rich, bold beans
I'm just a shlub with a grinder, grinding beans and having a cup or 2 of hot dirty bean water every morning. Probably by cup 2 I've reached the highlight of my day. Soon someone will be yelling, bitchin, complaining in my ear or possibly the voice in my head will be doing all of the above, so enjoying that cup is fairly important.I don't think I qualify as a coffee connoisseur, my pallet isn't far reaching and defined enough to taste all sorts of coffee nuance, plus no man bun so..... Regular coffee shlub.I probably wouldn't even no of this coffee, but here, let me help the Uber rich get richer, I saw it routinely used in the Jerry Seinfeld web show thing Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. I thought it looked like they were having a good cup of Joe so I started hunting for this premium brand of Jerry approved (total assumption I don't know what Jerry really approves of) coffee. It seemed a little hard to come by in my geographic location but leave it to Amazon to make it happen. With a little discount for scheduled delivery it was about the same cost as what I was getting at the grocery store and dropped off on my doorstep once a month by a delightful Amazon driver. If you ignore all the bad things it's a pretty delightful world......Anyway, the majority of the time I'm grinding for use in my dependable Mr Coffee, not fancy, neither am I, making it as the instructions recommend and making a solid cup of coffee day in and day out.The Beans probably deserve better than me. They smell fantastic, dark, rich coffee. OK, so here is my one real recommendation, hopefully you already do this, if I could remember who first recommended buying whole beans, a good burr grinder and grinding my own beans, I would thank them here and now as I owe them a debt of gratitude. It does add an extra minute or 2 to the process of making morning coffee. You are worth it, maybe you don't have time for the French Press every morning, neither do I. I implore you to add the 2 minutes into your morning routine and grind whole beans, if not these then the beans of your choosing. Grind those little F's and enjoy the very first gift they provide. That initial, pre brew fresh released, ground bean smell. Folgers can kiss my coffee grinder, one is not the same as the other. Take the 2 extra minutes you are worth it and much more. All I can tell you from here is these beans make a cup of home brew that I like. It might not be your cup and it is a large bag to take a chance on but if your coffee regimen wants a change this could be a nice addition to the rotation or become your daily driver. I've not been displeased with the results. Good luck and enjoy.

Reminds me of that old Folgers commercial
This is my second order of Lavazza espresso coffee. First time around, it was okay. It was basically in line with that of starbucks, just fine in that over-roasted coffee kind of way. I bought it again because it was the cheapest available. Upon receipt, I was elated to learn that I received a relatively "fresh" batch, about 2 months from date of manufacture as the reader can see from one of the pic attached to this review. I gave it 5 stars for freshness. On flavor though, my experience was more of the same as the first which to me was surprising given its relative freshness. Nothing really stood out, but nothing was particularly bad either like "A Folgers in your cup~~" kind of way. 3 stars for flavor. All in all, averaging out to 4/5 stars but it's really mid at the end of the day. Still, not bad to consider below $15 for a 1kg bag, especially for making milk drinks.

Great value, good coffee
We first tried Lavazza at a coffee shop in New York City and liked it enough to start buying it for home. Since then, it’s become our go-to espresso bean. The roast is smooth, consistent, and produces a great-tasting espresso without any bitterness. I’m not a coffee connoisseur, but I know the difference between good coffee and poor-quality coffee, and Lavazza has consistently been on the good side of that line.We go through a lot of beans in our house, so buying larger bags like this makes sense. The quality has been consistent from bag to bag, and I think it offers an excellent balance of quality, quantity, and price. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable everyday espresso bean without spending premium coffee-shop prices.

Great taste
rich, and well-balanced espresso at home. The 100% Arabica blend gives it a refined flavor profile with a pleasant aroma, and the medium roast strikes a great balance between boldness and smoothness without tasting too harsh. It works wonderfully for espresso drinks but is also versatile enough for other brewing methods if you enjoy grinding fresh beans yourself. Overall, it’s a high-quality coffee that delivers great taste, aroma, and value.

Smooth Everyday Espresso That Rivals More Expensive Brands
This coffee has become a great daily driver for me. The flavor is very smooth and balanced without being overly bitter or harsh, making it easy to drink every day whether as espresso or in other drinks. The medium roast profile gives it a nice richness while still staying approachable and versatile. It produces a good crema and has a clean taste that honestly rivals some noticeably more expensive coffee brands I’ve tried. It is easy on the stomach and doesn't give any acidic reaction.Overall, this is an excellent value for a quality 100% Arabica whole bean espresso coffee. Smooth, reliable, and easy to enjoy daily.
