Best Active Outdoor Toy We Own – Hours of Running, Laughing, and Competition
We’ve had the Stomp Rocket Dueling set for a while now and it’s still one of the most played-with toys in our backyard. My 9-year-old twins and their friends love competing to see whose rocket goes higher or farther. The dual launchers make it perfect for two kids at once, which cuts down on arguments and increases the fun. The rockets reach impressive heights (easily 150–200+ feet when stomped hard) and the foam construction holds up surprisingly well after dozens of launches. We’ve only had to replace one rocket so far after it landed in a tree. Setup is simple — just unfold the launcher and you’re ready in under a minute. What makes this better than single-launcher versions is the built-in competition element. The kids take turns stomping or try to launch at the same time. It gets them moving, running to retrieve rockets, and negotiating rules. Even on windy days it’s entertaining. Pros: Truly kid-powered — no batteries or frustration Durable rockets and sturdy launcher base Great for multiple kids or siblings Encourages physical activity and friendly competition Cons: Rockets can get lost in tall grass or trees occasionally Best used in open areas (not ideal for small yards) This is a classic that still holds up in 2026. If you want an outdoor toy that actually gets kids off screens and running around, this dueling set is excellent. We’ve bought extra rockets because they play with it so much.

Stomp Rocket is a BLAST!
Grandsons have a BLAST with this cheap toy. They've been stomping rockets for 7 months and this simple yet durable toy continues to entertain them.

Great fun toy to get kids off the couch and outside for play! Adult friendly too!
Purchased for a 7 year old Boys Christmas Gift PROS: This is a very simple, classic toy that requires NO batteries or power and will encourage the kids to get off the couch and outside. My Boyfriends comment after unwrapping his gift was "yeah! I always wanted one of these!". No idea if he was being nice, but today the day after Christmas & in freezing temperatures; he is outside playing with it. The rockets have been going roughly 50-75' with a 7 & 9 year old jumping on them simultaneously. Given they have no concept of what "200'" really is, they are excited & pleased with this height. They are running and jumping on the stomp pad & so far there have been zero problems with breakage or the toy falling over or apart. They love it! My Boyfriend is also playing & is able to get the rockets to go at least twice as high. I am not sure who is having more fun. In addition to this set, I did purchase an extra pack of the LED Rockets which are a bit heavier & should be really fun at night. CONS: The 200' claim seems a bit far fetched given the weight and height of the "jumper" seem to greatly affect the launch distance. A 5'9" / 175 lb man has yet to reach heights over 150-ish feet. I could see that given the Perfect circumstances (maybe wind from beneath) in combination with maybe a 200 lb man jumping from a roof & landing directly onto the launch pad, I am a bit skeptical of the boxes claims. I would like to know under what circumstances this was accomplished. Regardless of the height these rockets are able to reach, it was a great buy in my opinion & recommend this for kids 5 and up. I believe this is a toy that will last & will be used frequently.

Lots of fun, but rockets could be more durable
This stomp rocket set has been a huge hit with my 5-year-old son! He absolutely loves launching the rockets over and over again — and the dueling setup is perfect for friendly competition with friends or siblings. It’s simple to set up, easy to use, and provides hours of active outdoor fun. Great way to burn energy and get the kids outside. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to durability. After about a month of regular use, 2 of the rockets broke upon impact with the ground. They’re made of foam, but the tips started to split and crumble after repeated high launches and hard landings. That said, for the price and the amount of fun it’s brought, I’d still recommend it — just be prepared to replace the rockets eventually. Might be worth investing in some extras right off the bat if your kids are going to be using it a lot.

Great activity, but quality was lacking and broke after first use :(
Bought this for the kids as we're always looking for outdoor activities and new ideas to keep us busy during lockdown. The set up and operation was easy and straightforward, but unfortunately the shaft of the rockets themselves are made of an incredibly brittle plastic, and two out of four of them were broken after just a few launches, due to the kids racing each other to pick them up and stepping on them during the process, etc. Think of a plastic straw - once it cracks it doesn't work anymore and the same is true for the rockets. While of course they are not intended to be stepped on, as a kids toy it seems like the materials could have been better quality to account for the likelihood that this might happen. I've tried taping/reinforcing the shafts where there are cracks, but again, because there are flights/fins on the shaft, I couldn't get underneath where a crack went all the way down. Anyway, the toy is great, just the actual quality and materials could be improved. I think I have seen other brands where the rockets are made of thick foam - which could withstand stepping on without breaking - and I would recommend those over these. I may look at replacement rockets that are foam.

Fun birthday present for 5yo boys
My husband and I bought this for our nephews' 5th birthday this March. The rockets supposedly go up to 200ft. I would agree with that. It worked best when you jump on it versus stomp to get it to go up higher especially if the stomper is a small child. They loved it even when it didn't go so high. They tried catching and fetching as well so it seems to be quality backyard entertainment! I am not sure if it will last very long if the kids are rough like these 2 usually are but the price wasn't bad. Good toy overall and worth it. Note: the rockets are soft like those huffy/nerf balls from PE class, but I still was worried the kids would stand over it and get hit and cry so I would caution parents to supervise and teach safety rules with younger kids.

Simple toy that kids loved
This toy was loved by the 6 year old I gave it to, as well as all the other kids at Christmas. They left their ipads and computer games for a while and had fun competing to shoot the rockets the highest. Probably won't last forever as some parts aren't super high quality but it's strong enough. I'd recommend for kids anywhere from 2 to 10.
