Runs at 2.4Ghz.. may cause interference. *by 1***P on February 21, 2015* These are a steal! Mine were in the original packaging, it was just like buying an Open-box at Best Buy!I Bought these for a TV I just installed in my workout / storage room. I used to be a Best Buy employee and typically the Insignia / Rocketfish branded products are good performers. These headphones are quite comfortable and work great for watching TV / Movies.The audio quality is noticably compressed and sounds a little muddy for music but I'm really picky most people would probably never notice. The connect very easily and turn on and connect as soon as you lift them off the charger.They seem to hold a good charge too. The charger itself is a little funky to place the headphones back in but not too bad. I do however wish they would have kept the design of using either 1 or 2 AA / AAA rechargeable NiMH batteries since these can be replaced.. Once the lithium battery inside these headphones gets older than 3-5 years it cannot be replaced.Overall a great purchase! You can't beat them for this price.NOTE Audio Dropouts:One thing I've had an issue with is that my TV is a SMART TV and it is connected via WiFi (or at least it was) Most Wifi connected devices run at 2.4Ghz... These headphones ALSO run at 2.4Ghz which caused them to be spotty and drop out. I was able to run an ethernet cable to my TV instead since my router is in the same room which resolved the issue. If you experience issues like this it's most likely because something is causing interference.. In which case you will need to move it away from other wireless devices or try and run other devices on a 5ghz Wifi Network instead.. Just something to be considered. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loved so much I bought two more for each TV and my computer. *by E***A on December 1, 2016* My husband bought me one, refurbished. I wanted a solution to watching TV while my husband was trying to go to sleep. My daughter recommended this brand/model for me. She uses a set when her husband is sleeping. This head set worked so well, I immediately ordered two more refurbished units, (they don't sell them new anywhere on Amazon that I could find). Now I have one at each TV, and one at my computer. I love to listen to TV, videos, etc, while cooking, and hate having to rewind the bits I miss while I'm cooking, or checking on a pot on the stove. I don't plug this into the "head phones" jack of my TVs, because it will cut out the audio to the TV. I do have the rca audio inputs on one TV, on the cable box of the other TV, and only on my computer do I use the head set jack, just plugging it in when I wish to continue to hear my videos while cooking. :) And,the best part, is that all the cords you need for this are included. I hesitated in buying these because I just couldn't be certain if they would be chinsy. Then one day at Best Buy I found these headphones. The salesperson let me take them out of the box - I am one of those shoppers who has to touch everything, which is why I don't often buy from Amazon 😔. Because I found them so inexpensive on Amazon I imagined they would look and feel a certain way. I was pleasantly surprised. These headphones are very nice quality. They do not feel cheap and have good weight. The ear cushion is plush and feels like soft leather. The headband (the part that rests on top of your head) is also cushioned. Volume and power controls are conveniently located on right ear. I am a small woman and they fit me on the smallest setting. My husband finds the fit a bit snug but not uncomfortable.Again we had tried other brands and sound quality was another challenge. We again were pleasantly surprised. TV sound is crystal clear. Volume can also be adjusted independent of TV! They hold about an 8 hour charge which is more than we will ever need for a movie / TV watching session.The best part is I paid half on Amazon than what Best Buy was charging. I think these headphones are for the average, hardworking, money-watching person who wants nice stuff.
