after kickboxing for the last 15 years and writing a book on the subject, its nice to finally find a cheap and practical product that never fails. I have several of these because I have 16 oz bag gloves, 16 oz sparring gloves, AND i use another set for my training mitts for when im coaching mitt work. completely removes any moisture and insures no smell will follow. *make sure you buy a lysol disinfectant wipe or spray to use on the outside of your gloves as well.

... read what other's wrote about the strap tearing extremely easily but decided to give it a shot
I read what other's wrote about the strap tearing extremely easily but decided to give it a shot. After only a few weeks, it did just that. I suppose it would be an easy enough fix but it's really all the same in my opinion to just let the gloves air dry. I have been boxing for about 7 years.

As advertised
If you're looking for something that deodorizes your gloves minus damaging them, the glove dogs from Revgear are awesome! The cedar smell is faint, so it doesn't overpower the gloves or cabinet that I keep my gloves in. You can even leave the glove dogs in your gym bag, which beats using dryer sheets. If you have larger gloves and want a stronger smell, I would suggest buying two pair and doubling them up. The felt material is soft, so it won't damage the inner padding of your gloves. They product isn't heavy duty, so you probably shouldn't carry your gloves by the black straps. Overall the product meets my criteria and the shipping was fast-I live in Hawaii and got them a day sooner than estimated.

Helped reduce but not eliminate odor.
I box about 3/4 times a week. Bought these in May to use in the gloves that I've been boxing with since February. After some time of using them, I can see how other customers say that the item is poorly made, however, the item has not ripped on me. In terms of how it works to eliminate odor, my gloves were very stinky and the glove dogs have tremendously reduced and maintained the odor. It did not eliminate the odor completely. Maybe it will if I use with brand new gloves. The glove does itself have also absorbed some of the glove odor. Not sure if that is normal. I do wonder, how often am I suppose to buy new glove dogs? or is one suppose to last a lifetime?

Protect you gear
This is my second purchase of this item and I'm very impressed with the way they dry the insides of my gloves after working out which prevents them from smelling!! The cedar chips inside smell pleasant without being too strong. A bonus is they offer an easy way to help carry your gloves. These are a must if you've invested in a good pair of gloves.

They definitely tended to get pretty sweaty and smelly
I practice Taekwondo 3 times a week and use boxing gloves regularly for sparring. They definitely tended to get pretty sweaty and smelly. These deodorizers worked great as soon as I started using them. The wood scent is very light (so it doesn't seem like put on some perfume when sparring) and it definitely keeps the gloves dry in my bag.

Wow...terrible craftsmanship!
My glove dogs broke within the first 30 seconds of owning them! I put them in my boxing gloves, picked up my 14 oz. gloves holding onto the black strap, and one of the red pouches immediately broke off of the strap. I couldn't believe it. I then inspected the other red pouch and that one was only hanging on by two threads. Seriously...these things can't handle 28 oz. pressure?! Back in the box in the box they go. I will say one thing positive, they did smell nice, but you'd probably would be better off throwing some cedar chips inside pantyhose!
