It Works!
I clip the leash on the front ring under his chin. I don't know why it prevents tugging - but it works. He walks nicely with this harness. When we clip the leash to his collar - he tugs and is out of control! This is my second harness. Our dog managed to bite thru the first one (used his teeth like a scissors) so it only gets 4 for durability. Interestingly, they offer a warranty against this now - but I make sure I take the harness off when we're not on a walk so I didn't pay extra for the warranty.

Generally great, but check the fit
Generally an excellent product - but the fit, even with the available adjustments, is not the greatest for whippets and their body form

Recommended to me by emergency vet
Had a tough time with my Aussie and pulling. Ended up with shoulder issues and a limping issue that landed him in the emergency vet. This harness was recommended to me. Have to say, I love it. Watching YouTube videos of correcting pulling and adding this harness has worked wonders. 3 stars on the durability. It doesn't last long, have to buy on the regular.

Good quality, poor fit
Sturdy quality. Dog responds well, But, harness slides around too much (I've tried adjusting the fit all sorts of ways). Also, sliding shoulder "locks" do not stay in place. Prefer the 1" version I tried before. Wanted to try the 5/8" because the 1" looked a bit heavy on my medium-sized dog. Not so great.
