KSMC5QBOWL 5-Quart Mixing Bowl with J Hook Handle, Stainless Steel, NSF

Good accessory bowl for my commercial KitchenAid 8qt mixer. These actually fit a large number of different models, by the way. The lack of a rolled lip makes the bowl seem a little cheap, but it is required for NSF approval as the rolled edges are hard to clean. Similarly, the single attachment of the J handle feels flimsy compared to a loop handle, but it's necessary to allow these to nest inside each other. The bottom line is that it works well.

Fits the professional KA mixer. Some days I don’t need the 8 qt bowl, and this one fits the bill. Definitely quality KA construction. Not ‘fake’ as other posters have claimed.

Fits perfectly in my new mixer and makes a fantastic alternative to the 8 quart bowl when I need to make smaller batches of dough, etc. Fit securely I have no concerns about it even at higher speeds!

I absolutely love my 7-qt. KitchenAid mixer, and this 5-qt bowl makes it even more useful. It fits the mixer perfectly, and is great for smaller batches, such as icings or fillings for recipes mixed in the 7-qt bowl. Like the 7-qt bowl, it has a side handle that makes lifting and pouring really easy, and the stainless construction is super sturdy. This is a really worthwhile investment.

Needed a smaller bowl since the KitchenAid Commercial comes with 8qt bowl. Good size for "everyday" baking recipes.

The rim around the bowl was razor sharp. I called the seller Chefs Deal twice . The first time I got someone in the call center who did not understand what I was asking. I asked to be directed to customer service and he replied they were busy but would call me back. No response. The second call was the same. I then called KitchenAid just to make sure this was not indicative of their bowl. Their customer service replied that it truly was a defective item. So I sent the bowl back to Amazon and did receive my refund. It appears Chefs Deal sells KitchenAid seconds. I then ordered directly from KitchenAid.

Fits my 7qt Pro line mixer. Have to use rubber scraper paddle though.

Love my 8qt kitchenaid but it’s a pain when making small batches; this solves that problem. Attaches perfectly to the 8qt and don’t need different attachments, even worked good with the dough hook. Only complaint would be that since the bowl is now shallow and angled edges a bit more flour escapes the bowl than before, but not enough to deter me from using it again.
