Wireless Bluetooth LED Name Badge Upgraded Rechargeable Name Tag (Blue)

I bought ten of these for staff in a nightclub so people could pick out a staff member in the dark. We had originally used hang tags with no special attributes, and people had a rough time finding staff members. I adjusted the brightness all the way down because they were so very bright, and they could still be seen across a club that was filled with lasers and strobes and all sorts of other special effects lighting. Out of the ten, I had issues with one, and wrote to VBlab and was promptly given a refund. I was so impressed with that service that I turned around and bought 6 more! I'm still testing them to see how long each one lasts. On our first trial, one petered out at about 3 hours, so I'll be keeping an eye on that one and making sure it is set at a low brightness setting. Most of the others lasted throughout our 5 hour event at fast speed with low brightness. Programming was pretty easy! I downloaded the app, connected it via bluetooth, and updated them easily. I did find that the app instructions were not super thorough, but I figured it out with some trial and error. I wasn't getting fancy, though, just using scrolling text. If you want to use symbols and effects, it looks like there's some trial and error. My largest complaint is that the magnets in the back seem not to be very strong, and we had to use the pin instead. I have some neodymium magnets and may experiment a bit with those. I'll write more when I get my next batch!

The basic functionality of this name tag is great. Its a LED tag that can display names and fun animations. It claims to last for 16 hours but I found that it last less than 3. It may have to do with how I'm using it. I go in the app and use a toggle named "switch screen settings". I'm not exactly sure what it does but it turns off the display on the tag without me having to hold the button on the side to completely turn the device off. I mainly use it to tell people when I am on a call. Since i work with a headset and am hands free in a service environment. I always get asked if I'm on a call or just get interrupted during my call. I can't have the display on the tag on all the time because I'm not on the phone all the time. So i was hoping this app had a toggle widget that I can press without reloading the app every time. so far i found to be effective is to have the app open and the scroll to the LED app and open it from there. If I don't do that the app re loads and takes time that I don't have. It's worse if I manually turned the device on and off. Not only does it take more time to hold and turn it off and on, when it loads it has loading displays that take up more time. (ill have pictures of what I mean.) Ideally I would like to see if the app can make a toggle widget that it's purpose if to the display off and on with manually pressing a button. It would also help if that function could also save the battery. What would be better if that it can detect that I'm on a call and turn on by it self! but I understand that is probably too much to ask. It's a cool device but it needs to have more functional use than just for fun. Also I cannot switch apps after connecting the device with MiniLED show app.

Update 8.21.19...bought 2 blue in tin. (Picture with brightness on 100% then 25%) The first pair was obviously defective due to charging issue alone..However, the second pair wouldn't change brightness either but they held a much longer charge! SO... the latest update to the android app "coolled1248" made 2 HUGE changes..now the brightness slider works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't stress enough how much this makes the badges last SOOOO much longer and they added a multiple message save library where you store pre typed messages and now just click and new message displayed!!! Instead of having to retype whatever message you wanted to display change...GOOD GOING GUYS AND GALS!!!! (Round of applause) I work for 2 food delivery services and wear 1 name badge to display the company I'm picking up and dropping off for that delivery, and 1 badge on the black tin it came in on my dash board saying "delivery driver returning soon".... The only issue I have left is the deceptive battery estimations. .. very wrong!! Even with the brightness fixed...I use the movie scrolling mode which the manufacturer recomends in their manual, to help save battery and use it at 80% in daylight and 35%ish at night and now lasts almost all day 15 hrs delivering food...turned off in between deliverys...trying their standby or switch on but screen off with the app in between runs to see how that effects the battery longevity. Now I give with NO hesitation 4 stars be honest about batt life and 5 stars it is!!! The brand these seem to be copying and had the verbatim , cut and paste I suspect, description of batt estimations with one HOGE diff the other brand says lasts 5 hours get 2 for all day use 8 hr I assume... tjis is missing from tjis manual... but in defense of this brand it's upload of messages is WAY BETTER AND EASIER than the one I'm talking about...which needs u to hit a button to up load on badge...so better exicution on software side to this brand!! I loved them when I first started using the ,however, when I went to recharge them the recharged in less than 5 min.. The slider is set to lowest position 25% light brightness ...even in the dark moving the slider for brightness has no effect nor does setting it at lowest and sending to badge...people LOVE it and it's helping my business and all other app android features work. If it won't hold a charge or change brightness usless

This thing is great! Works as expected. I once sent too long of a message, about a thousand custom characters that I wanted to animate like a starfield and it made the unit non-responsive. I contacted the seller, who immediately explained that I could restore it on my PC using standard BMP Badge software. It worked, but they also made it clear they would do what it took to make it right and that made a great impression on me.

This is the 2nd one of these because the first broke where it plugs in to charge. (Wrote to seller who never responded) It is a major hit for my husband who is in sales!

I received my badge today and I am very happy with it. Nice clear display. Lots of function's to choose from. Very easy to set up too. Highly Recommend. Lovely storage bag and tin. 🙂

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS CONCERNED AS MIXED REVIEWS AND 1ST BADGE WOULDN'T CHARGE. WAS REFUNDED AND CHHANCED A 2ND. SO GLAD I DID. AFTER BUYING 9 RUBBISH BADGES FROM VARIOUS SOURCES FINALLY GOT A DECENT ONE THAT WORKS! SUPER EASY TO PROGRAMME.

I had a non-bluetooth badge like this that was tedious - this is a positive dream after that! Connects to the phone (iPhone X in my case) in a second, then select (or enter new) text in the app and it's on the badge in a couple seconds. The badge remembers the list thing it was told to do when you turn it on so you don't actually need the phone more than once if you're using it as a simple name badge for example. The app has four sections: - Pattern - some predefined animations (a bit 'teen' for me!) - Text - You'll use this most. Anter your own text. Each entry is saved (easily deleted) - tap to select. Very easy. - Grafitti - draw with your finger to light up pixels and that's what's displayed. - Rhythm - Puts a bouncing 'graphic equaliser' display in tune with what's playing on the phone or using the phone's mic In text/graffiti sections you can adjust brightness, speed and select from static, scroll left, right, up, down and a couple other 'reveal' methods. The Pattern section just has brightness. Plus points: * Very quick connection * Battery seems to last hours (not sure how many but certainly several) * Bright * Messages scroll smoothly * Very easy to enter new text on the phone and select from existing messages you've previously entered Minus points: * I'd like slightly faster scrolling to be available but this is very minor! * No emojis - it's only mono so nothing fancy, but a smiley might be nice * It'd be nice to be able to do custom animations like the built-in ones on the app * Connection is really quick, but you need to tap 'settings -> connection' (in the app) to connect. Nice if it just did this every time you started the app or turned the badge on. If you have a long text message (more than about 'Hello!') then really the only 'reveal' method is to scroll left as otherwise the message comes out in bits (e.g. it'll show "Welco" then "me" but it doesn't cut it by letter so it might have cut that in the middle of the 'm'. This isn't very neat. It'd be nice if this was improved. In all, though, a great little gadget and certainly a conversation piece. Put "Happy Birthday!" on it when you go to a party. Excellent on holiday - you can think of all sorts of phrases to put on it! And either wear it or simply put it on the table at dinner...

Absolutely rubbish so hard to set up and you cant change the rhythm at all, sending back and ordering from a different supplier
