Regulation Size Kubb Viking Clash

Kubb is a great game for people of ALL Ages. Well, you do need to be able to toss a stick, but almost anyone can enjoy the game. This set is regulation size so you can practice for tournaments too! Regulation size playing field is 13 x 26 feet - BUT you can play this in smaller areas too. We keep ours handy for backyard, beach, camping trips, park - even in the snow! It can be played from a wheelchair or walker too. Rules are easy to follow - or create your own. Kubb originated in the Viking Age - over 1,500 years ago it was played with bones. But modern times calls for wood instead (luckily) Check out some of the International Tournaments to see what fun it is. Youtube has some great ones. Perhaps you could start a local tournament? this yard game surprised my family, who were skeptical at first. there is some question about how much yard you actually need to play it properly. the instructions are simple, and you can add variations as you please for fun (e.g. if you set up big and you’re drinking, the game can last hours because it demands coordination and a bit of strategy). set up small, and the games will last ten or fifteen minutes. the wooden pieces are very well made, and over time they’ll get scuffs and dings which just makes them cooler (there’s a very satisfying sound when one piece strikes another).

We bought this for our daughter and son-in-law and had so much fun with it that we got it for ourselves. Great game that requires some practice. It's not as easy as it may look to knock the blocks over. But it doesn't take long to start getting a good aim. The instructions that come with the kit are slightly different than some of the instructions I found online. But generally, they are the same. The game has some strategy to it. Plan on 2 hours to complete a game for beginners. Find a great shade tree in the summer at a park with level ground/grass. We really have come to enjoy this game quite a lot. This set has very sturdy wood pieces, and they seemed to have held up so far with no chipping or breaking. It's nice to have the carrying case, but memorize how they are packed!

Product is well made and fun to play. We had an issue with one of the batons -- it broke under normal play due to a knot in the wood. I contacted the company. They responded quickly and asked for photos. I provided the photos. They sent me a replacement baton.

I had never heard of Kubb until I was searching for a good croquet set and this popped into a recommendation. I did a quick search for what it was, and was mildly skeptical, but wanted something new to do with the kids. There are a number of videos on the interwebs that demonstrate how to play clearly, and once you have the basics down even young kids can play this without issue. It is an absolute blast!! This set is regulation size (yes, there are regulations) and is very, very sturdy. The wood finish is great, it hasn't dented up significantly even with lots of play. I'm sure that over time the pieces will dent, given you're throwing batons at big blocks of wood, but so far being hardwood it's holding up great. I love the carrying case, as it is also made well, of strong canvas and great stitching. I don't think there's anything I'd change about this Kubb set. I highly recommend the game and this kit!!

Nice set. Very heavy. Good for putting Scandinavian Culture into practice.

Such a fun game. The pieces all seem very durable and solid. I would recommend making sure the pieces dry out thoroughly before putting back in closed bag. No one likes mildew and mold!
