Can this be installed on a wall and not in a wall?

We installed ours on the wall instead of recessing it due to our wall situation in our circa 1960 house. We anchored some L-shaped, metal ledges (1.5") to the studs in the wall above and below the mirror units and then drilled holes (carefully) in the top and bottom (at the very back) and mounted the mirror units to the ledges. The ledges stick out a tiny bit to either side, but we painted over them when we painted the wall, and it's barely noticeable. Also, that means that there are two little screw heads at the back of the bottom shelf that could get in the way of you putting stuff there. That isn't a problem for us. We mounted two mirrors right next to each other this way. These mirror units are nice looking and quite sturdy. Just remember to leave the film on the glass until you are completely done installing. Is this a reversible hinge cabinet or are the hinges fused on one side? I need the cabinet to open on the left side, not the right.

I guess the cabinet can be reversed but not the hinge. I advise you to think a bit further and prior to reverse check the preferable direction of door opening: from ''left to-right'' or ''right to left''

Hello, Will this cabinet fit an inset of 14.5" by 19" by 4.5"?

The minimum rough openings for length and width are 18" and 14" respectively. As for depth, I'm not 100% positive, but 4.5" sounds deep enough to me.
