I'm not so sure it's the right seed since he/she throws out many of the ingredients. It could also be that the bird is just fussy. **Q: Why is there no expiration date?** A: There is an expiration date on the back of the package. The vendor may have covered it with a sticker. Mine that I just received have a date of 1/9/22. **Q: Does this food contain pellets or extruded food pieces?** A: It is mostly seeds with some small fruit chunks and it does contain a small amount of what appears to be more extruded food pieces. They don't have the same texture as the pellets I feed my bird. Hope this helps. **Q: Can this be served to a caique?** A: I would think so. My Grey is very picky and this is his favorite.
