great product
I began researching guitars when my son asked for one for Christmas. I found a lot of "toy" guitars but review after review said that they wouldn't stay in tune or didn't work well. I ended up purchasing this guitar and it's wonderful. It has a nice sound to it, stays in tune well and is basically a real guitar that's half size as opposed to a toy guitar. The one thing I would caution you about is that this guitar is truly 1/2 size, so it's not meant for little-little kids. It's a perfect guitar for a 7 or 8 year old but it's too big for kids under that age.

A nice entry nylon guitar
Been playing electric for a decade, wanted to try out a nylon for some time but didn't want to approach what I've spent on my electric setup. Totally worth it. Sounds really good for $120. Good quality too. I bought it with an eye to my daughters future, so when she gets a little older she can learn on the smaller size while I play along with my full size Alvarez. Really easy action, and to all you people who say it doesn't stay in tune, thus is the nature of nylon strings. And honestly it only ever goes slightly flat after hours of play. Sounds good in alt tunings, I've taken it to drop C tuning and it sounds just as good as E standard and everything in between.

Amazing fun little guitar!
I've played guitar for decades and have found this is the perfect little travel / practice guitar. I usually grab this over my more expensive guitars. It's just fun to play and sounds good. It's great to write music on. Pros: * Harp-like tone (nylon) * Near-zero hand fatigue. I can play this for hours. Nylon strings are thicker and lower tension. Small scale is lower tension. * The nut width is about the same as a Strat or Les Paul. * Relatively inexpensive. Cons: * As with any nylon string guitar (1) it takes about a week after changing strings for the tuning to stabilize. (2) And don't expect to bend notes very much.

Solid sound, great for beginner
I must admit, I purchased for my son and ended up using it as a practice guitar - great sound, great action - quality product.

Beautiful guitar & Excellent service
Loved the sound and the size, 34 inches long. I am 66 yrs old and always wanted to play the guitar, just retired, good time to start! I donโt care about the โbrownโ color but will decorate it. Oh, shout out to Sumeet of Austin Bazzar, the seller, I have some concerns and got a prompt reply and he took care of it! Excellent service, will definitely shop there again when I need more musical instruments. 5 star service! FYI: this nut fret is 2 inches wide (50mm), I wanted it wide, some other styles have 43mm, 45mm and 48 mm If you have smaller fingers.

Great first guitar for a young musician.
This is a very nice little instrument. It strikes a perfect balance between quality and economy. I have owned may guitars and some much more expensive than this one do not stay in tune as reliably. The size is just right for my 9 year old to learn on and it is a real instrument rather than a toy, so a great guitar to begin learning on. Service was fast and though I routed it to an old address, the seller was willing to send a note to that address advising them of the mis-shipment. Good customer service even though the error was mine.

Pleasant sound and holds tuning
We love this guitar, it has a very pleasant sound and has been very easy to play on. We had previously purchase a very cheap ukulele and it goes out of tune almost immediately after you tune it. This little guitar holds perfectly well. We have a nicer full size acoustic guitar too, so this has been a welcome addition for our young kids to play, and not too expensive - we are new to guitar in general though we were recommended to buy this from a guitar teacher.

Amazing high quality sound for 1/2 size classical guitar.
Both our children play classical guitar. we have bought three over the years. Our first one nine years ago and is still in good shape. The other two were because we didnโt want to travel with the instruments somone stays at lessons/school, for the cost of these guitars the quality is exceptional. we have had no issues and to be honest our first guitar went eight years without a string, breaking the other two have yet to burst a string. There is no warping of the wood or anything. The guitar is also been dropped a few times and thereโs been zero damage. Iโm always looking at reviews so I figure I might as well write one since this is the third time we purchased this guitar so we obviously like the product.

Pretty good
Well built guitar. Fit and finish are fair... can't expect much better for a guitar in this price range. The action will need lowering. I have never been disappointed in any Yamaha guitar that I've ever purchased over the years. They have proven to be well built and dependable. UPDATE:: This guitar has been a joy to play. I installed an undersaddle pickup very easily and I have fun running it through a multi-effects unit. It is much easier to play than steel strings. The shorter scale letโs the young ones play easier, and it is great for the older folks as well.

Beautiful sound ... a joy to play
The Yamaha CGS102A 1/2 Size Classical Guitar has an incredible sound for it's size. I LOVE it. I am an adult with small hands and full size or even 3/4 size classical guitars are simply too large for me to play. The guitar arrived quickly and it was really well packaged. I am delighted with this purchase!

It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Although it was purchased as a beginner guitar for a 7-year old, I find it fun to play. The small size makes it easy to practice those awkward finger stretches and I imagine it would be easy to travel with. After tuning it a few times (strong young plucking on new strings), it seems to hold its tuning nicely and the sound is great.

Gorgeous little guitar
Love it! Definitely love it!! It arrived faster than expected. Great size for my 6 yr old. And amazing quality! My husband has one from years now and this one is the exact same one. Looks so cute and so much better in person than the photo. Super professional.
