The product did not work for me it didn't meet my needs. But their support, is excellent I would not have a problem ordering from them again. But I will be more cautious of my specs so that they meet my needs.

Update Purchased February 2023, it's now April 2023 and the app no longer connects the device no matter what I do. I'm not the only one having that problem because in the apps review ratings there's tons of others. I don't know why I'm more surprised than annoyed. In any case, do yourself a favor and skip buying this. Also for the sound to play through your TV instead of your device you have to use Bluetooth. The problem with that is the sound quality is something from the 1970's. It grated on my last nerve for about 2 minutes before I turned it off. I tried different TV's and different devices. The sound was still just as horrendous so it isn't the devices or TV's, it is legitimately the cable. The instructions are not clear making install and set up time consuming and annoying. You HAVE to download an app which has a 2.5 star rating. You HAVE to turn on location, access to manage calls as well as access to you device's storage and files. What takes the cake is the fact that the sound doesn't play through the TV. It plays from whatever device you're using. Yup. Your TV also has to have a USB port for this to work. I just got around to setting it up and quickly realized I'll be finding a high quality cable cause this ain't one despite setting it up as directed. I highly suggest finding a different cable.

Lets start by say that This adapter cable can support to mirror YouTube/ Office/ Safari/ Chrome/ FaceTime, but will NOT support NETFLIX / Amazon Video/ DIRECTV/ Hulu and any paid subscriptions. If you get a blank screen like so many people are commenting on the reviews most likely they are trying to watch a paid subscription app like Netflix, amazon prime, hbo and so on. The HMI does not have built in sound so its transmitted thru bluetooth. During set up you have to turn on your bluetooth to get sound on your mirrored device. The sound isn't too bad, the quality of the picture from a scale of 1 to 10 is like a 7 ( Samsung tv ). I tried the cable on my Galaxy 7 active which uses type c connector, i also used it on an LG tablet using micro USB connector. To use this cable u must download the suggested app on the screen, there are options to choose from. It does charger your phone or tablet will in mirror mode or stand alone charger. This cable is excellent if your watch home made videos, YouTube, pictures, listen to music. All and all its an okay cable. In my honest opinion u can find cables like this that are plug n play with no app needed to be used. I almost forgot to mention i did have sound interference, i dont know if it was coming from someone elses device but i had to stop. I tried to set up all over again but same thing. So i turned off everything and tried in an hour and it was gone.

I bought this cable to stream from my moto g stylus to older generation TV while traveling, where using Wi-Fi to stream was not an option. I am technically experienced. Nevertheless, the sparse directions, particularly those for installing and using the companion app, were hard to follow. Some essential steps were missing. Some instruction steps did not seem to apply to this device at all. After much trial and error, I got the cable to work - after a fashion. Operation was disappointing. There seemed to be little control over resolution, display ratios, and screen fill. Default selections for these items were often inappropriate and difficult to change, often leading to a very small image in the middle of a much larger display and/or a much degraded image, compared to other streaming devices I use. I will keep this cable - as an emergency backup - but only for use where all else fails. However, there are many other wired and wireless solutions out there that do the job to be done much better, and which make doing that job much much easier.

Bought this for my wife so she could do presentations from her phone, LG G6. We did some research and found out a lot of the slimbox cables were not compatible with the phone. I looked around and found this one. I tried it out and it works perfectly! After downloading an app and figuring out the set up, once we were mirroring onto the TV, it mirrored perfect and without skips. what was shown on the phone was shown on the TV. My only problem was the audio was still coming through the phone. I don't know if there's a way to change that but I haven't messed with it to much since then. Also, as far as set up goes, if there is a USB port on your TV, you can power the cable from that instead of adding another plug to your power strip.

As an over the road truck driver i dont always have internet access where i stop for the night to hook up to a smart tv, and watching movies and tv shows on your phone can be a pain and strenuous on your eyes. Then i found this device. Let me tell you its worth every penny. Now i can cast whatever is on my phone directly to the TV i have in my truck. No internet required. As long as my phone has service i can watch anything i want. This works on netflix, amazon prime and the showbox app plus games and youtube. Whatevers on your phone can be on your tv. This is exactly what i was looking for and will make my nights stopped on the road that much more tolerable. Just had to turn on usb tethering in my settings menu and then go to the google home app already on my android phone and select cast/mirror screen and vuola, all the entertainment i could need at the tips of my fingers. I highly recommend this for anyone in the trucking industry and people who dont have internet but have a cell phone. Alls you need is a smart phone and a tv with usb connection and you have the world in the palm of your hands.

Its very easy to bend and not to get it to work .

Éste monitor actualmente se utiliza con un DVD, tengo un celular viejito (Motorola E5) fácilmente lo conecté a su salida MINI USB, el HDMI al monitor y la salida USB a un cuadro al enchufe. LISTO! En el celular me apareció que no era compatible con ninguna aplicación y me envió a un link de descarga del apk de la aplicación Mirror (espejo) aceptar términos, también el de audio NO NECESITÉ UN CABLE EXTRA para la salida de AUDIO que por cierto no es de excelente calidad, pero es aceptable. El celular se carga mientras está conectado y el adaptador tipo C es muy conveniente por si pusiera otro equipo.

However, the cables are not long enough when connected to a 50" or larger screen. the cable length requires you to sit too close. I will need to buy HDMI and USB extension cables. Regards, Paul
