Works great, and super stupid easy to use. Plug it in and hook it to your battery, that's it. It does the job and the price was sick.

It charges ok, hard to say if it maintains like it claims, I have to adjust the clamps or reset them to get them to work. It works most of the time, but not on all batteries all the time.

Modern cars sneakily wake themselves up at night to do all sorts of self-diagnostics, including running the fuel pump to test for vapor leaks. All this puts some drain on the battery, which can be considerable if the car is not run for several days on end, as was the case during the pandemic. Add to this the stress of winter temperatures. Add to this in my case that I have a Subaru which has an acknowledged problem (with no fix) with excessive battery drain resulting in premature battery failure, which I have experienced. My work-around for this is to hook up a battery maintainer, otherwise known as a “float charger.” I chose this unit because it is low-amperage and “smart” (turns itself off when not needed), so it should not dangerously overcharge the battery. There are no switches or settings, just plug it in. A single indicator light tells you if the unit is charging, desulfating, or idle. I replaced the short SAE to ring terminal cable to the battery with a longer cable so I could tuck that cable under my windshield cowl and not have to open the hood every time I plug it in. Being a maintainer, this 0.8 Amp unit will not charge a seriously discharged battery – for that you need a regular battery charger that will deliver 2 to 6 Amps and must be carefully watched. But this unit will keep your battery “topped off” while your car sits for extended periods between runs.

A dos años de la compra sigue funcionado No se calienta aunque cargue una batería de cero. Lo uso para cargar una batería de ácido de 18Ah que uso para un banco de energía. Se fue la electricidad varios días en el domicilio donde lo tengo y el aparato tuvo que cargar la batería de cero Tarda aprox dos días en cargarla de cero.
