Caldera Multi-Purpose Therapy Gel w/Cover

I have between 8-10 ice packs for joint, neck, jaw, and migraine pain, and about half of them are this brand. Some days, I'm constantly cycling between all of my packs. These freeze relatively quickly and stay cold forever. I was lucky enough to buy some several years ago when they still sold them with the velcro strap, and they're perfect for putting over my shoulder or wrapping around my head. I've used them hot and they also work pretty well, but they can get EXTREMELY hot, and over time, the gel breaks down and they become a lot less effective when used cold. I have one for hot and save the rest for the freezer. For the price, you really can't beat them. Buy at least two.

I ordered the Caldera Therapy Gel pack because I still have one that I bought maybe twenty years ago which still hasn't worn out. The plastic is tough and well seatle. I can even lie on it and it won't rupture. The pack stays cold for more than two hours. I'm glad they're finally offering this pack with a cover. The gel pack is VERY cold when it comes out of the freezer and needs to be wrapped in something before use. The cover's material is far from harsh but it could be softer and thicker. I highly recommend this product. I wish Calder would include covers with all its gel packs.

Very flexible

This replaced 3M heat pack which started leaking after short use. This one looks more durable with thicker plastic containing the gel. Works great as a heat pack for my shoulders and neck. It needs to be heated in 15 seconds increments to make sure it does not over heat. If you overheat it, it will rupture since steam does not have any place to go. This is true for all heat packs. The cloth pocket is thin which allows for more heat to get through. I like this one much better than 3M and fancy brands. Highly recommended.

I checked our local Pamida for a similar ice pack and I was able to get two of these on Amazon for the price of one at the local store. Unfortunate, because I'd like to support the local guys but it's too nice of a deal here. The ice packs seem to be constructed nicely. I use them (2) on my lower back. They seem to keep a good chill for 20-25. After that if you flip them over you can get a few more min of cold. Overall, nice deal for some good ice packages. The sleeve is nice, too. I have not tried them as heat packs yet.

This product is just the best and very functional. It gets really very cold for a good :30-40 minutes, as cold as frozen peas, which is all you usually need for cold therepy treatment and the best part is that it constantly stays flexible. It doesn't get hard like an ice pack so it can feel very comfortable for example, if you set it on your lower back and lean on it. It's like a little cold pillow. I bought two so I can switch them out if I want cold therepy for more than the recommended time.

These things are amazing. Stay hot for a while and great for sore parts. Cheap as well! Just make sure you read instructions on heating and stick to them.

I bought this as an extra ice pack to use in the wrap I bought from the same brand. Very happy with product. The cover is not fancy or high end material but gets the job done. Nice amount of thickness so it's still cold but not too cold to give you a burn.
