THIS IS A VERY GOOD PRODUCT FOR OLDER PEOPLE WITH LIMITED FLEXIBILITY. THE EXTRA LENGTH IS VERY HELPFUL REACHING HIGH KITCHEN CABINETS, IT HAS A GOOD GRIP I USE IT TO RETRIEVE CANNING JARS AND HAVE NOT LOST ONE YET. I EVEN USE IT TO REMOVE MY SUPPORT SOCKS. I originally purchased this unbelievable marvel back in 2018. I have owned a bunch of different types, due to my disability, I have some mobility issues. The shark style of grabbers has a screw and peg at the end, great for sliding packages, and a magnet to pick up metal items. For picking up small items and cans it is not very good. The other style has the jaws design and is great for picking up small items and heavy cans off of shelves. The head swivels 90 degrees to either vertical or horizontal which covers about anything you will need to lift. Some styles extend and others fold, unfortunately these don't seem to be able to carry heavy weights, over a 1 lb can.. Some have lights on the end, good in low light situations, but have to be turned on and off with a slide switch on the end with the jaws. All of these have benefits and shortfalls, so to do everything, you need to have a mix of all the above. One style fits great on my wheelchair, while others don't, so it is a trail and error method, I own many different styles and sizes because I hate not being able to be independent. It cost me a lot of money, but I got an education in longevity and issues with usage. This RMS unit is the best in its "class", with a number of times trying, I learned how to pick up a dime off the floor, amazing!! I could not learn how to do this with and other brands. I can also pick up small washers that I use with my hobby RC trucks. You can pick up large tomato item cans, the 29 ounce type, you need good hand strength, but I found this impossible with other brands, could be me, or not. I finally had to buy a replacement, the wire that makes it work finally stretched to the point that the jaws are about 1/8" short of touching. Other brands use a heavy duty looking cord, easier to stretch and not as strong. I believe I got my moneys worth out of this grabber, I owned it almost 5 years, use it at least 10 times a day, it fits below the handle of my walker, on the crossbar, so it is always at my side anytime I need to use it. Nobody has paid me or given me any free samples. So I give you the above information freely and at my own cost. I love this thing so much for the freedom it has given me, it has made my life easier. I always give honest reviews, or non at all, so believe me that this grabber is a winner. I also have the shorter version of this, I have it hanging in our pantry so my wife can use it to grab the things she cannot reach.

I didn't realize how bad my previous grabber was until I bought these. These are a dream. They're so easy to use and very high quality. I will definitely buy these again.
