Nothing worked
Set it all up which took over 4 hours- reading instructions, mapping out, laying tube, cutting, prepping and attaching sprinklers, connecting up. Tested one and worked ok, so I could gauge distances and adjust. Tested 2 and the sprinkler just flooded out water (didn’t spray it) soaking the immediate area. Tried all 6 and all but one flooded too- the same one sprayed ok. Now not sure if it’s my setup, faulty sprinklers or what? No Rainbird support option?! And timer attachment doesn’t seal to the faucet. Wasted me hours and know it’ll take me ages to pack it up to return!

Automatic timer, key part of the system, kept leaking hard every time the water supply was turned on
The installation of the pipe and sprinklers was straightforward. However when conducting the test, the automatic timer leaked every time the water supply was turned on, rendering the whole installation useless. The timer has been returned and I am awaiting the response as regards replacement of the timer or refund for the whole purchase. It is rare for me to be disappointed about an item purchased through Amazon, but this one certainly did disappoint.

Timer doesn't work
The timer stopped working after 1 week of installation. I cannot find any warranty details or how to get the timer stopped. It fails to turn the water supply off. The rest is working as expected.

Rainbird
It says it covers 3000sq ft with 6 sprinklers, no way does it do that for me, pressure is good in my outside tap but still didn’t work, now we have connected two sprinklers on one tap and only 3 on another , set timers (which I had to buy another timer) at different times to gain full pressure on each in middle of the night, the two work well but the three don’t work at all, heads don’t pop up and just floods around the sprinkler, for me the whole process was a waste of time and money.

The best
Love these, however if you have good water pressure the timer and plug find it hard not to leak. My flow valve also just broke when tightening so need replacement.

Great and reliable DIY sprinkler system- even in cold climates
We installed the Rain Bird sprinkler system in the front yard last spring and it worked perfectly all summer, but I’ve waited until this spring to give it a review, because I wanted to see how it would fare over the harsh Alberta winter. Well, i tested the system in mid-April, after all our snow had melted, and every sprinkler head just popped out of the ground without ANY issues as soon as I turned the water on! We get 10-12 feet of spray range from each sprinkler head with our water pressure, and i feel like rain Bird under-promises and over-delivers on the performance of this small but mighty system. I’ve been extremely pleased with this system, and i now have added a second system in the backyard. Digging the trench for the hose and sprinkler heads is the hardest part (my back!), but other wise installation is as easy as can be, and definitely doable for the average do-it-yourself-er. We got our second system installed in a single afternoon! Highly recommend this product.

Great Deal For The Price
This product was simple to install. It just takes a few hours of manual labor. I believe it took me around 3 hours. then I spent another hour adjusting the sprinkler heads. Over the next few days, I continued to adjust the sprinkler heads until I got them exactly the way I wanted them to be. The adjustment for the heads isn't as simple as I'd like as one little tweak would sometimes send it further than desired but after some time I finally got how they were adjusting and it became easier. I did have some problems but was able to fix them myself. There were some leaks in some places when testing the system after installing. For starters around the faucet connection the connections had to be adjusted to stop the leaking. Then one of the sprinklers wasn't working. I dug it back up and it turned out it was leaking so I had to adjust those connections as well. I watched and monitored the sprinklers for the next few days. One of the sprinkler heads would not pop up. I would gently pull it up and it would work. Turned out it had gotten some dirt in it that made it stick so after all the dirt was cleared out it pops up every time. I've been using the sprinkler system for about a month and it is running great. I love the programmer. It was simple to program and it helps to have it automatically start watering my lawn twice a day. I just laid down new sod so having a system that waters the entire front yard without moving sprinklers around saves me time and ensures all of the sod gets thouroughly soaked. I purchased a splitter so that I can still have a hose attached to my outside faucet. I read all of the reviews before buying and some people said it's cheaply made and the hose won't last long....well, compared to the thousands it would cost to install a professional pvc sprinkler system this system saves money and does the job for which it is intended. The hose is made of plastic and of course it's buried under ground (except for the part near your faucet) so I can see it lasting for a few years. IMO, a couple hundred bucks instead of thousands when I just spent thousands on new sod will give me time to save up for a more professional system by the time this one wears out. All in all, I'm very happy with it. My sod is filling in nicely. Everything is watered even the flower beds without having to lift a finger...well now that the installation is done.
