Jamison,I am not a very technical person, but will try to answer your question. This piece is really an adapter that converts you Mini Display Port to HDMI. I also purchased an HDMI to HDMI cable and can stream anything that I can display from my computer to my TV HDMI port. The video and picture both come through to the TV. If your Acer V5-122P has a Mini Display port than this will work for you too!
