It loosen the soil but you have to shovel or scoop it out by hand. It needs to be 3 or 4 inches longer. It does not do well in hard soil. It is Handy but not the answer to hole digging. **Q: Can I use this with my 20v black and decker cordless?** A: Yes I used it with my 20 volt cordless. The only thing is the drill will get hot. It would be best to use a bigger corded drill, but the cordless worked just fine. **Q: Will this work on clay soil that is like concrete?
