What is the difference between the gold and silver can of Bar Keepers Friend?

From their website: "BKF Cookware Cleanser contains 50% more surfactants than our classic BKF Cleanser".  I usually find better deals on the gold label so I checked their website, but now that I know it's different I'll keep using this stuff.  It's amazing.

The ad states cookware &  sink cleaner but the picture shows cleaner &  polish   ?   Which is it because they are not the same ?

These are the silver can Cookware Cleaner and Polish.  That said they seem to work well on my stainless steel and silgranite skinks as well.  If you want the gold can I suggest you see this ad "Bar Keeper's Friend Cleanser and Polish, 21 Ounce, Pack of 4" for $15.32.  It's the cheapest I've found.

The photos of this product show bar keepers friend cookware "superior", so is this product the superior?

This product is the only product we market under the name BKF Superior Cookware Cleanser.  We do not make another/different product with the name Cookware Cleanser in the title.  It is a variation of our most-known product BKF Cleanser, the key difference being that we add substantially more detergent to this formula, so that it cuts thru & emulsifies greasy buildups & soils quicker.  Most cookware soils tend to have more greases and oils involved, and this helps with handling that.

can you use this on non stick pans?

NO!!! The gold cans are sink cleaner.  you want the silver cans, which are cleansers for pots and pans.  Non-stick pots and pans only.  And, don't be fooled by the pictures.  I ordered three times before i got the cookware cleanser.  I got fooled by "cookware and sink cleanser," "cookware cleanser" with the gold cans, and one guy sent me half of one and half of another.  Look for "cookware cleanser" shwoing the silver cans.  Anything less, and you will get the extremely cheap $2.03 in the store) sink cleanser.  Good hunting.
