**Q: Does it have a rheostat to vary the speed of the motor?  Or does it need to as some others do?**
A: There is a knob on the machine that will adjust the speed of the blade.

**Q: Was looking at this for cutting smalk tile fir back splash situations.  How wiuld it work for counter top use?**
A: This is a great saw for cutting back splash I went thru 2 blades cut my tile for the kitchen

**Q: can the saw cut in any direction like a ring saw?**
A: I am sorry, but no this saw cannot cut in any direction.

**Q: does this come with the square for making straight cuts**
A: Yes. great for freehand or angle cutting

### ⭐ Unstable table

This machine skipped one important element. The table work surface is not stable. It moves with any pressure on its surface. It might have less parts to replace than comparable tile ring saws but I would like a better work surface.
