Decoding ballast, also called CAN-BUS ballast, is a ballast with decoding protocol. Because there are more and more European and American cars and Korean cars, and new cars are equipped with trip computers and protocols, so if this part of the car wants to be modified with HID bulb or add light bulb, the light bulb must be consistent with the original car agreement, otherwise it will interfere with some electronic equipment inherent in the car such as the driving computer and the dashboard, turn signals, and audio speakers. The decoding ballast is used when modify or installing a xenon lamp, the ballast with a decoding protocol can be used to light the lamp, which can maintain the agreement with the original car and remove some malfunctions. ## Features - 100% Brand New 12V CANBUS HID ballasts with intelligent decoding, error light canceller, error free for most of cars with computer. fast start function,80% brightness in 2 seconds, full brightness in 3 secondes. - Alternating Current Pattern, the brightness of light lamp with digitized electronic chips can be raised 58% than direct ones. more stable and longer production service life,35,00 hrs working life. - Easy installation, just plug and play,no modification required. This canbus ballast can decode some specific cars that there is need decoding, such as jeep wrangler, commander, audi, porsche, etc. - Compatible with:Universal Fit for most aftermarket HID lights.H Series:H1 H3 H4 H7 H8 H9 H10 H11 H13(HB1, HB2, HB3, HB4, HB5).9 Series:9003 9004 9005 9006 9007 9008, 9140, 9145, 880, 881. - One year replacement. We attach great importance to before and after sales. If you have any questions before/after purchase, you can consult by asking questions/please feel free to contact us by your order as we can’t get notification in this page. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B07Q4V9DT9 | | Auto Part Position | Right | | Automotive Fit Type | Universal Fit | | Best Sellers Rank | #64,508 in Automotive (See Top 100 in Automotive) #14 in HID & HID Car Lighting Kits | | Brand Name | HYBKLER | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars (1,161) 4.3 out of 5 stars | | Fit Type | Universal Fit | | Included Components | Digital Ballast | | Light Color | 6500K Bright White | | Light Source | High Intensity Discharge (HID) | | Manufacturer | HYB | | Manufacturer Part Number | HZ05-S | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 1 year | | Model Number | 13 | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Number Of Pieces | 2 | | Operating Life | 3500 hours | | Set Name | HYB Canbus Slim Digital HID Ballast 55W Pack of 2 | | Unit Count | 2 Count | | Upc | 726679921353 | | Voltage | 12 volts | | Wattage | 55 watts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** HYBKLER - **Fit Type:** Universal Fit - **Included Components:** Digital Ballast - **Light Source Type:** High Intensity Discharge (HID) - **Wattage:** 55 watts ## Images ![HYB Canbus Slim Digital HID Ballast 55W Error Free Warning Cancel for HID Bulb H11 H7 H8 H9 H4 H1 9005 9006 Universal Fit 12v(Pack of 2) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61uj2rgugiL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: what is the startup amperage draw on startup (when it's draw is at the highest)?** A: I never measured but I've tried other ballasts claiming to be 'Fast Start' and would have issues with the initial surge current overloading car's wiring. These also claim to be 'Fast Start' but they are not. Can take a good 15-20 sec to reach full brightness but they do work consistently and 55W claim is accurate. So no relay harness necessary with these. **Q: Will this item fit my 2007 M6?** A: Your answer is in the product description. **Q: I got my ballast last week, connected it saturday but it flickers!! Any suggestions??** A: A faulty ballast is possible but particularly on newer vehicles the high initial surge current can trick the BCM into thinking there is a possible short. An additional relay harness may be required to provide enough power. To test, try connecting it directly to battery and see if flickering continues. **Q: Will there work with dodge ram 1500 2019 ? let me know please . thank you** A: thank you for your question. this ballast will fit all size of halogen,if you car can be modified then yes,can compatible 99% cars. hope this can help you. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These are the best "budget" ballasts money can buy. *by on Reviewed in the United States June 17, 2026* I started with the Inovited kit (big mistake) replaced both my left and right ballasts 4 times (3 right, 1 left), also replaced the bulbs with Osram Nightbreakers (not worth the hype, they are nice, but not $100 nice).Anyway these ballasts are great, using around 5 amps at steady state puts them right at 55 +/- Watts exactly as advertised (the other aforementioned brand is only 47w). I haven't even had a chance to mount them, usually free hanging ballasts will live a shorter life from the lack of heatsink but they still run nice and cool. So just buy them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plug-and-play in existing xenon install. *by on Reviewed in the United States December 9, 2025* This is the second set of these specific ballasts I've purchased and the first ones lasted a good long time until the annoying buzzing and then purple and then dead headlights. I like these specifically for the price. These and the Innovited brand are hard to beat. My headlights warm up within a few seconds and have a good consistent beam with these. The fit was perfect and I had zero issues with installation. Good mounting options as well. Will buy again!PS make sure you check your fuses too! Sometimes lower quality xenons blow fuses and you don't actually need new ballasts. Also, if your ballasts are bad and you still have problems after installing these new ones, check your fuses! Faulty ballasts can take fuses with them on their way out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High quality and just work. *by on Reviewed in the United States July 20, 2026* I got these because I realized one day that one headlight was dimmer than the other. After checking it all over... realized that I had replaced a 55W that went out on a headlight, with a 35W.Got these and they are great quality and they just WORK. ## Frequently Bought Together - HYB Canbus Slim Digital HID Ballast 55W Error Free Warning Cancel for HID Bulb H11 H7 H8 H9 H4 H1 9005 9006 Universal Fit 12v(Pack of 2) - Xentec H11/H8/H9 6000K HID Xenon Bulb 1 Pair (35W/55W) - Innovited HID Xenon H11 H9 H8 6000K Replacement Bulbs (1 Pair) Diamond White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/120439885-hyb-canbus-slim-digital-hid-ballast-55w-error-free-warning](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/120439885-hyb-canbus-slim-digital-hid-ballast-55w-error-free-warning) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
