The School of Seers Expanded Edition: A Practical Guide on How to See in The Unseen Realm

A dear friend I had known for 20 years said he thought the Lord wanted him to pray the spiritual awakening over me. Never had I heard this term but the Holy Spirit within me leapt and he prayed and released Isaiah 60: 1-5 'Arise and shine..." I had begun to tell him I wanted more of the Lord and was hungry but did not know my purpose in life. He had asked what I had been seeing from the Jesus more of lately. Knowing next to nothing about the prophetic, visions, nor prophecy because I thought that only happened in the bible days, I shared with him what I had been seeing, not realizing they were called visions. He said the Lord spoke to him to lend me his copy of 'The Seer' by Jonathan Welton, followed by the proclamation of my spirit to be awakened (birthed) then go read the book. I promise you nor am I exaggerating, after reading five pages into the book, something happened and much of my destiny was revealed to me as a 'SEER'. It was as if I began viewing a large movie screen of my future right before my eyes while tears poured forth. My friend later said that he had never seen the awakening come alive as fast as it did in me. He explained it being like a 'rocket ship blasting off.' Although I awakened quickly, I believe God is also awakening people all over the world in an expedited likeness. Time is so short that He needs his army of warriors to violently storm heaven; so His purpose is brought forth because the Kingdom of Heaven is being brought down through us. I encourage you to seek God earnestly and intimately and then He will begin opening up your purposes of life. I was so hungry for Jesus and if you first seek the person of Jesus, you will find Him. If you earnestly seek your rightful gifts, you will receive and this book may be just what you need as your tool needed to open up the gift of 'seeing.' There are practical applications that instruct you so you do feel you are truly lead from the depths of Jonathan Welton's heart to share with you, Jesus. This is a love that is unmistakable! This is a pure love and one he desires to impart to you in this wonderful gift from the Lord and Savior. I do not know nor have ever sat under the teaching of Jonathan but I long to meet him and will in heaven for he is invited to dine with me at my table in my establishment in Heaven in days to come. Truly open your heart as you read his book and you will receive what is meant for you to receive from the pureness of Jesus. Blessings in the name of Jesus, Sherry

Wow, I just bought this book. The author lays out a very solid biblical case for his positions. It is also very practical, which sounds strange for this kind of book. I am a reader and hungry for the Lord and this is one of the best books I have read in a long time--probably because the HS guided much of this writing. I don't write reviews often but I was blown away with this book. The activation exercises at the end of each chapter are quite important and sets this book apart!

Excellent book

Excellent book which took Jonathan seven years to research and write. I know the author to some degree and he is a wonderful man of God, humble, and personally knows of what he teaches. He has full sight into the unseen realm, so he is talking about things he knows, not theory. From what I know, Jonathan has been a voracious reader since his teens and puts tons of research into his books. For more info, go to: www.weltonacademy.com; www.disruptingculture.com; and http://www.endtimecouncil.com/ To receive new revelation we must put aside pride and fear and choose to become new wine skins in order to receive new wine. You were created to see and to hear in the spirit realm. Jesus said, "My sheep HEAR my voice," [John 10:27]. Jesus only did what He first SAW the Father doing and He said, " "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." [John 14:12-14] Jesus' master plan was to duplicate Himself in the earth by living through us to introduce others to Him and His love for them. It is a joy to be in an intimate relationship with Him and out of that, to be used by Him. Bless you all.

This is not a book that one reads like a novel. It took me over a month to get through it. As I read it, often I sensed the Lord speaking to my heart as I was called to prayer or scripture reading. Regularly, I put the book aside until I was able to process the material. In short, I was inspired by it! On the other hand, this is not an academic book. The author has a precritical use of scripture. His exegetical method was a bit problematic because he took scriptures out of context and listed them together with other out-of-context scriptures to make a desired point. In and of itself, this is not a criticism. Most scholars would make the same criticism about the NT community because they read Jesus into the Hebrew bible. Often biblical scholars fail to appreciate the charismatic nature of the hermeneutical community in the early church. That is, in order to understand the text, one must understand the nature and working of charismata. Welton understands this point. He speaks as one who is fluent in charismata. At times, I had some concerns about content. He makes some "hard-to-believe" statements. At other times, I was amazed at his deep understanding, a type of understanding that one cannot get from a classical education. The author is a true man of God who writes about a topic with which he has much personal experience. I highly recommend the book to anyone who feels called into the deeper things of God.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this book. The author has a very casual and understanding style of relaying information that could get caught up in Christian-ese or complex terms. He uses his own experiences to share information on visions, prayer life, angelic, dreams and issues associated with the prophetic realm. For readers that are skeptical about the topic, the book is filled with Biblical background and verses to back up his thoughts and experiences. A nice aspect of this book that I haven't seen anywhere else are activation exercises at the end. This is a great way to take the knowledge from each chapter and go to God with it. If you're looking to learn more about the seer gift/anointing/experience and prophetic issues, this is a great book.

This book is an answer to prayer. I have been praying for an increase in intimacy with God because I know that to know Him is to love Him more and more. I want see what He sees, to know His heart and to see the hearts of others. I have visions and dreams, but so often I don't know what they mean. I am hungry to learn more about discerning of spirits and to walk in the Holy Spirit more effectively. This book is a wonderful practical guide. I read chapter 1 through 4, and followed the activation directions. I received a word from Yeshua which touched my heart. I wrote down every word He spoke and while I have not yet sent a letter to the person the Lord spoke to me about, I am so encouraged to have received an answer to my request. I have new revelation of God's love for me and the person He spoke to me about. I cannot read this book in one sitting as I find I have to soak in it. Thank you Jonathan for your obedience to God and writing this book.

This book is GREAT--both my husband and I have read this book, and highly recommend it! I see that one person ("Radiance") below thought that ONE star meant the BEST, as his/her review was very good and highly recommended this book...I hope he/she sees the mistake and is able to correct it (read the review, and you'll see what I mean). ;) As to the other person who seemed to hint that this has something to do with the occult, that couldn't be further from the truth. This book is easy to understand, yet is very "meaty" and full of great detail. It has definitely enhanced my own walk with the Lord in a more intimate way, and I highly recommend it for every believer. I haven't yet read one book by Jonathan Welton that I didn't like. Each one of his books I've read has not only opened up the Scriptures more to me, but has also challenged me to go higher and deeper in my relationship with Jesus. Thanks, Jonathan, for all you do...you truly inspire me!

Enjoyable book

This is a very good book by Jonathan Welton, he talks alot a lot about the ministry of the prophets and seeing in the spirit. I highly recommend this book as it would open you spiritual eyes and give you great insight into the gift of discernment.

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Very good books that gives you keys and overstanding of how to use your seer skills in the name of Jesus

A wonderful book. Its amazing, I started speaking in tongues while reading this book. Before this I never could speak in tongues no matter how hard I tried. My wife has had the same experience while she was reading it.
