The Original STEP Exercise Step Platform, Health Club Size Stepper for Exercise at Home with 4 Stackable Risers for Height Adjustments

These are the steps boards that are used in commercial gyms and are full-size. I'm advanced at step aerobics and I would STRONGLY suggest not buying the more condensed, cheaper, circuit size boards as they MAY TIP OVER if you do higher impact moves... and aren't as friendly if you misstep on the edge of the board thereby inadvertently tipping the board over . The smaller circuit size boards also limit your natural range of motion ... This keeps your muscles from being able to stretch out to their full ability. As someone who does advanced step I would not recommend the smaller circuit step sizes and I would go for the bigger board like this one . I've been working on this size board for about 20 years and have always wanted one for home use. There is a name brand you can go with and I don't think it's worth the extra money .. unless you need a board weighted up to 500 pounds. This board is weighed up to 300 pounds. And while it is slightly heavy .. that's actually a good thing because you want it solid on the ground . I have carpeting and no issues. They give you four risers to vary workout intensity. The Rubber platform does not have grooves on it so less dirt is trapped and keeps your board looking nice. This board could easily last five or more years with regular gentle use an occasional wipe down of the mat . Never put cleaning spray or any sort of shiny coat on it as you may slip from the oil. I prefer the gray and black color scheme because it blends into my furniture... I live in a small space and keep the board under my dining room table.

I love everything about this aerobic platform! I love the fact that it's so sturdy. I never feel unsafe when I'm using it, and I think it'll last for years and years, if not decades. I love the fact that I can change the height so easily. It makes the platform more versatile. (Right now, I'm just beginning step aerobics again after a knee injury, and I have it at its lowest height, which is pretty low. In a week or two, I'll be adding height to the platform, and that's so easy to do.) I love the fact that I can store it so easily. When I'm not injured, I usually store it in my bedroom closet because, with a platform bed, I can't store it under the bed. There is no "under the bed" space. Right now, though, due to my injury, I'm sleeping on a futon on the ground floor on my home, and I store this between two bookcases. It's out of the way, and it won't fall. It's so easy to slide out every morning and every evening when I do my stepping. I love the fact that the surface is non-skid, especially since I'm recovering from an injury. I really love the fact that I'm gaining strength and mobility, as well as cardiopulmonary fitness, with every workout. If you've done step aerobics before, you know how great a workout it can be. If you haven't done step aerobics, please know it's an exercise that strengthens your legs, helps your balance, and gives you a good aerobic workout as well. If you're just beginning exercise, however, take it slow. You'll see more progress if you build slowly but steadily. Consistency is the key. And if you have a medical condition, be sure to check with your doctor first. I think this is the best aerobic platform I could have purchased. I love it, and I expect to gain a lot of strength and mobility from it very quickly. It's been a real blessing for me.

Just got this today & was quick. Package had a small dent but all was good. No defects. Just like the stepping bench I had in Zumba up to 2013 when could no longer go to class cause I tore a tendon from just running up my sidewalk. I need to get back to stepping & I cleared my center of LR & fits perfect. I watched a 20” beginner you tube video & I remember the moves & more. It will get your heart rate up & tone all muscles. I will use my Tone 1lb sand weight gloves & move my arms. I’ll be 65 in 3 months & will be doing at home with my MJ Thriller CD I love to help get me motivated. This is sturdy & hope to graduate to the 1st then 2nd riser but safety is more important & 1riser is pretty high, esp just getting back to it. I hope the material on top lasts. After reviewing many, this seemed the best. I will be wearing my ASICS Gel Nimbus shoes too. All I have to do is shift my end table back & put it under it if company comes. Will fit under couch without risers also.

Great to have at home. This is regulation size and stable. Would buy again.

My wife wanted this for at home workouts. She is very happy with it. It’s constructed well and versatile. I saw a similar item in a big box store, it was about 10% more expensive.

Seems durable and doesn’t slide or feel less stable with each adjustable riser. Looking forward to getting a lot of use from this, and the pop of pink is cute. It is kinda large, probably not great for super small areas, works well for me though.

This was purchased at a discount because it was a return and I swear it looks brand new. There wasn't a scuff mark on it. It's exactly what I wanted

I used to own The Step years ago when it was only available in the green and purple colour and stupidly left it behind during a move. As I started to exercise a few months ago with walking workouts, I was looking for something to supplement them with that was a "step" up. This was the answer! Not only is this a great aerobic boost, but I can also do many other toning exercises with the Step. The size is perfect as you feel secure with the extra surface area and the colour is a bit more in tune for 2012. This was a wonderful purchase and with the two extra risers I can continue to improve in the coming weeks. Again, thank you Amazon for such great service and for your FREE shipping!

Desde hace tiempo quería tener uno así, es tal cual como los que usaban en las clases de aerobics que iba yo hace años. Y aún más bonito porque este es color rosa. El único detalle es que debería venir con más escalones, para poder aumentar la altura. Compré unos por separado, pero viene un poquito diferente la medida. Eso sí se me hizo bastante caro, pero es un lujo que me di. 100% recomendable. Tiene excelente calidad.
